Hi - I am brand new to e-smoking. I chose an EkoCig, which is the same as a BluCig, but with a red LED (which I prefer). Now, after almost a week of vaping, my wife is ready to give it a shot. I wanted to buy the same brand, but EkoCig is no longer in business (for now - problems with obtaining inventory, I think).

The main thing is that I really want our e-cig parts to be compatible.

So, where can I find the same kind of e-cig as Blu, with the charging pack, etc., but with a RED light? If someone could confirm the model number, maybe I can track a kit down somewhere else. I think it's an L88b. I was hoping it was an RN4081 because AquaVapor carries those with a PCC.

This forum is great - lots of really helpful information here. Glad I found it!

Maybe I'm reviving an old thread perhaps but I just wanted to say that "Volcano ecigs" are almost exactly the same as blucigs...I'm pretty sure they are the same company too. They glow sort of reddish-orange so not fully red but I bet the parts for each are interchangable. I don't know, maybe this information will help someone else out so there ya have it :p.

do a search on these and other forums about the blu cigs
everything ive read says they are cheap crap.

i got a generic ecig from rockymountain vapor its an DSE801 and it seems to be alot better quality than the 1st egig i bought.

i think you should research the different types then read reviews alot of ppl made you tube videos which i love :)

also read reviews of sellers and companies this info will be invaluble since it might save you alot of cash and headaches buying from the wrong person.
another company i like is myfreedomsmokes they have hardware on sale atm and juice . sry i cant add a link since im new on these boards.

Thanks for all the input. It's a lot to sort through, with so many vendors selling the same thing but branding them differently. I am pretty happy with my L88b and my wife likes her RN4081 (which I also like.) I hear a lot of good things about the 501, too. It could get pretty expensive with all the options I'd like to try.

Take anything you read with a grain of salt. There is no magic bullet when it comes to e-cigs. I and a few of my friends love my L88b and DSE601 pipe, one of my friends loves his knock off 510, another friend loves her 401 (gave her mine). I sampled a few types before finding my faves. Same with juices.

Some people like to follow trends and bag on the L88b because a few others do/did. Some tried it and moved on to other models, some stayed. I like mine now, but I also keep an eye out for other things.

I didn't like my 510...tons of vapor, tempermental PCC, mediocre on flavor to me. The 401 I got to replace it worked good and I used it for a month or so before buying and trying a Volcano. I love it now but am currently looking at a sidekick from aquavapor that a buddy is trying. If it works good i might grab one too.

Try looking for stuff that fits your needs (PCCs, battery life, cart type, etc) then try one by picking up a battery, charger, and a cart or so. Some brands work with other brands chargers which will save you some bucks. If you like it, then buy a full kit. If not, then you're only out a few bucks. I use my old or unused models as loaners to analog smoking friends to try. If they like it I either give it to them, or sell it to em at half or less. Good way to make back a few bucks and save a friend.
