So I just received mine and whoa...the learning curve is steep, but just the little tips in this thread helped :)

Anyone else have one in hand? I'm not seeing much posted about it.
Pics please!!! I am dying to hear all about this mod. It is at the very top of my wants list, lol. Are you figuring it out? What coil are you using? How is performance?

Sorry about all the questions. Inquiring minds wanna know! :D

I got one in yesterday and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I haven’t used it for Ni or Ti as of yet so I can’t speak to how well those work, but the taste control feature using kanthal has been a real treat.

It’s always been a struggle to get my wicking right on some RTAs. If I wick so that it will work well when I chain vape it can flood when I vape normally; use more cotton to prevent flooding and it can go dry at the tail end of a few hits in succession. The taste control feature steps in when that happens and cuts the power. No dry hit on the tail end regardless of how I’ve wicked.

I love the shape – nice to have something that is not boxy. Very comfortable to hold and it has good button feel. The battery door can wiggle a bit but nothing that bugs me. The screen is clear – wish it was the same size as the evic screen, but it’s big enough to present all the info legibly.

Got it in teal and love the color. All in all, very pleased with the purchase, and well worth the $39 paid for it.

Very nice! Can you post a picture of it? I love that there is a teal color. All of the colors in this series are cool! So you are using an RTA on it? I want one of these but I will use a tank. I just can't get seem to get into the dripping thing. :D I am looking forward to hearing what you think of performance with TC. I am having a hard time finding a TC mod that performs well with all wire types.

Here you go – first pic is a lineup of a few single 18650 mods to get a feel for the relative sizes. Left to right is the Smok Treebox, the Wismec Presa 75, the Solo (with a Bellus tank on it) and the Evic mini. The second is just the Solo to (hopefully) show the teal color a bit better.

Oh, it's tiny! Very cool design, and the color is awesome. :) How does it feel in your left hand? It looks small enough that it can be operated left-handed, which is great for us who are in that 10% of the population. :D

Although I’m right-handed, I mostly vape left-handed for some reason. The Solo works very well left handed: the rounded back is comfortable; the fire button is perfectly positioned for thumb-firing, and the screen remains visible when you are holding it.

It’s not as comfortable if you want to use it left handed and fire it with your index finger. It can be done, but for my hand, this is a thumb-fire design.

Looks like there's a new version that goes to 80W and has SS support for temp control. Haven't seen any info about a firmware update for the current version. The wattage increase from 75 to 80 is no big deal, but it would be nice to have native SS support.

OOoh, nice! I love that dark red one. I have a Reaper Plus tank and I absolutely love it.

How would the Solo be for a left-handed vaper. Would it be weird to hold in the left hand or no?

I've had my Solo Mini for a few days and here are my observations.

I do not like the accelerator, it goes much too fast and you wind up overshooting the wattage setting your aiming for.

Temperature control with nickel works well, I don't have any titanium wire but I would suspect that it works just fine.

Taste Control, I have used it with drippers and a Kayfun Lite + and every time I driped and every time I filled a tank I let it run dry just to see if I would get a dry hit.

I have never gotten a dry hit with this device when using the taste control. I have had the taste get a slightly burned flavor a couple of times but nothing that required changing the wick.

Now I'm one of the 3 or 4 people in the world who still vape at around 10 watts so your results may vary.;)

All in all I would have to give this a big thumbs up  for now but a month down the road there could be problems and I've had some with other devices that were great for the first few weeks or even months then their ugly side showed up.

For now I think the Solo Mini is a step in the right direction.

I have the origional Asolo....and I agree about taste control...it works, and if "trained" properly, it works well. FYI, the taste controll works even better with SS wire :)
