NEW Dicodes Dani Box Mini

I was interested in taking a look at my mod just to see what replacing the circuitry would involve, but I think it is important to note that in the manual, I read the following regarding the 2 year warranty:

The warranty voids, when:

- dropping the device on the floor (*)

- attempting to open or opening the device

- maintaining or repair by unauthorized persons​

So I probably won't be going in there to poke around for at least a couple of years unless I have no warranty options available.

Yeah, I agree why even mess with it if there is still a warranty. A couple of mine are at, or approaching that 2 year mark, with no signs of any problems. I just kind of figure the boards are around $80.00. So it would not hurt to have a few on hand, just in case one stops working, and the possibility that places like CDV, decides that shipping to the USA is to much of a risk. I am not saying that, that is going to happen, I would just like to have another option.

It's interesting. Not sure which one the Dani Box Mini takes. I found this post where they dismantled one. It looks simple enough to remove but it looks like there is soldering involved. That's a little scary to me for DIY, but if it's that or nothing someday, then maybe that.

I was starting to wonder the same thing. The specs and the layout didn't look like they matched. I think I'd sooner take a trip to Europe anyway before I started dismantling the innards of a non-working Dicodes. I'm going on faith that I will be able to get it serviced going forward. Will be ordering one more just in case.

I came to that conclusion while one high end stab wood moder told me that he wish dani mini board was available for him to order...and he bulids his mods with bf60 exclusively.

Haven't settled on an MTL RTA. I have the Kayfun Lite 2019, which has been a nice tight draw with the XS Centerpin. Was also looking into the Taifun GTR RTA. Never tried a Taifun before:

I am still a bit careful regarding Taifun and MTL. The GTII is one of the best MTL devices I've ever used, and it is being used daily even now. When the GTIII came out, I paid that expensive price just because the II was so good. But evidently Taifun had decided to take a stab at big air people and it simply didn't work for me. From what I understand, the IV was even more airy. So now, they've released their MTL tank again. I wonder if they still know how to make a good one.

From friends who have always given me good advice, there is a lot of admiration for the EVL Reaper V3 for mtl. EVL is in the UK, but I don't remember if Keith ever carried them. And the other tank they praise is the Stattqualm Squape (n)duro, which I know he carries.

I have expromizer V4 and Precisio.
V4 is very tight, never leaking, top quality RTA if you are looking for tight ati with max aroma.
Precisio can do all from where V4 stops to RDL, very well built ati.

I don't think it is the FL80, or it is wired differently in the Dani Box 21700.

Yeah, the last several posts have indicated, that the mini has a different board then what is available right now, which was news to me. I'm not sure, but I may order some of the boards anyway. Hopefully sometime in the future, we will be able to order the boards in the mini. I have all the colors of the mini except that one with the dark end caps, so I have backups for my backups. Hopefully that will do.

I am getting ready to order 21700 batteries, I have never ordered any of them before. Is there any reason, I should not get the Molicel P42A 21700 4000 MAH batteries. I think these were the preferred ones to get.

Okay after a bit of searching I found this, it is a bit old of a report, but good enough for me.

Bench Retest Results: Samsung 30T 21700...an incredible 35A 3000mAh battery!

So it is the 30T's for me.

Have fun with the 27100 danis, they are my favorite form factor. I got the not very lengthy mah ones (Samsungs) and I am glad I did. For whatever reason (maybe head room maybe my LGs are getting old, someone told me the LGs did not last very long in terms of holding a charge and I tend to agree, actually) but you put one in an adaptor sleeve (the LG 3000 mah) and the Samsung in the other, well the Samsung wins hands down for battery life. I suppose a battery adaptor could reduce efficiency but I cannot explaining it. Identical run time only consistently not (Two Asmodus thors.)
