Well...my purple mini is already on it's way back to Creme de vape.
I have been receiving wonderful care/customer service from them and an engineer from Dicodes.
...wish I coulda gone with it !

I hate that this happened to you, but now you have experienced how good Keith is at taking care of his customers. I'd bet the Dicodes contact is Georg - he is excellent also. BTW, the first times I corresponded with him I was careful not to use American idioms that may not be clear to someone in the UK. But somewhere along the line, he told me he's actually from the US but married an English woman.

Trust me, as disappointing as this is right now, in the end you'll consider it one of the best investments you ever made.

No, not George, the name begins with an A
All will be well.
I should have bought it in December when I got a Christmas bonus from work...but I bought a ring instead. It's taken me this long of not doing stuff to justify the purchase

They're gonna see what's up.
No one has ever reported this happening...Well - of course not ! I just bought it
It sounds like it's going from CdV to Germany.

Hard to believe, that out of all the ones that have been sold, you had to get the rare one that doesn't work. I am not usually one to complain, but it seems to me that sense you only had it for about one day, that Dicodes should be trying to get you a replacement asap. Then figure out why it happened later. Just my :2c:, but this is your first one, and unlike me you can't just grab another one, while you wait. :|

lol...receiving to shipping back out was less than 24 hours
The goofy stuff started immediately.
I hadn't thought of that...it would be nice if a replacement was also on the way (hopefully tested).

I still don't "get" the menu and have to try a bunch of times to do anything. Seems I press a button too soon or too late all.the.time.

And I'll go against everyone's praise. The Pico X is the most comfortable mod in the hand I have. Followed by the ProVari Radius. The Dani Mini just isn't quite long enough to be the "most comfortable" in my hand. Maybe the regular Dani Box would be, dunno. I wish the fire button was larger on the Dani Mini too. All that said, the Dani Mini IS comfortable and seems to be the mod I'm coming to use the most.

As far as the issues @classwife is having, I only have one other thing to add ...

Was the thing working before you took it out of the box? ... if so, put it back in the box and return it to CDV, but contact Keith there first. You didn't eat the chocolate already did you? ;)

Sorry you are having issues with the Dani Mini Classwife. :(

EDIT: And I dearly wish the Dani Mini changed wattage in .1W increments, .2W at the most, when vaping under 10W.

The most confortable in the hand is not the Dani mini, but the Dani regular.

Having already a double pair (2 mini + 2 regular) and a lonely 21700, now that the dedicated Dicodes Pig Bank had fattened once more, I choose to buy an additional Dani regular, only and exclusively because it fits my hand so well.
The second black Dani regular(first is the 60W type) arrived few hours ago from CDV, and it works flawlessly - as all Dicodes I have, previously did.
The menu access on this one was set on 3 clicks.

Saddened to hear that Classy did receive a faulty device. This is surprising, and I bet the people at Dicodes will not sleep until they don't find out the reason for the failure...
... BTW, it is many years that I deal with CDV, and I am sure that Keith and his team will go all the way to set things right quickly and painlessly.
Certainly a rare event, but not impossible. You will be very satisfied of your device in the end.

The only visible difference between the Dani V1 and the V2 is the lettering. Also the finish of the silvery top and bottom is slightly more shiny on the V2, it can't be seen from photography.
Everything will be going well,
Regards

Certainly you can.

It'll be later tonight, when I'll be back home.

It's 8pm past now, the Sun is still high in the sky (Did you read "The White Nights" by Dostoevskij? - St. Petersburg is at the same latitude I'm now), but worse - we are in the middle of an unusual heatwave that has confused everybody in a tricky way.

I'll gladly oblige, later on...

Keith over at CDV is awesome. CDV is the best vaping company I've dealt with.

Keith is taking very good care of me.
That thing already showed being back in the UK this morning !!
Once he gets it, if it needs to go to Dicodes, he will ship me out another.
...I did ask him to test drive anything he sends back this way

As I wait very patiently for my first new nice mod in over 3-4years... any YouTube recommendations to help with set up/menu/getting familiar with this cute little guy heading my way?

I also purchased the new KFL, been using the KFL+ for lord knows how long. Lots of fun new things coming in the mail.

Congrats (on both)!

Keith's Quick Start Guide (courtesy of GG) and full manual attached. :)

It can be a bit of an eyeful, but don't let it intimidate you. Once you get a hang of it, you'll be fine.

I have just learned that I've unknowingly led all of you astray.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

According to Keith Venable, the Dicodes logo is an image of a landmark historic coal mine in the town of Herne where Dicodes is located.

Mea culpa, etc, and so on and so forth.
