I'd like the 18490 with a shorter throw and a stiffer spring. I have the stiff spring, and I think David might be entertaining the idea of offering a longer button screw at some point.

I wouldn't mind a longer button screw to eliminate the need for some of the washers but I really do like the throw as it is with the stock spring. I still can't decide if I prefer the stock spring or the heavy spring which I preferred in the P18 with a really short throw. But I do love all the options available, everyone can create a setup which they prefer.

Epic Journey
I've just been lurking for months, but tonight I felt compelled to run over to the beginners forum for a little while just so I could come here say that I snagged one. (order #8149) My postal carriers life is about to take a turn for the worse. Hmmm. I wonder what the laws regarding stalking are like, here, in the Philippines? :D

As long as you are following him in a jeepney, he will never notice :)

Jen, what ohm Fluxomizers/Clearomizers are you running?

Not sure if I'm running into new problems due to the better batts (AW 17670 vs. AW IMR 18490) or power delivery on the P+ is just that much better... these lower resistance fluxos can't take more than a 3 second button press before tasting burnt. I switched over to a 3.6ohm (3.9ohm DMM measured) Fluxo and that seems to work okay until the battery hits 3.8v and I can't keep wattage where I like... okay for now, just not the vapor I prefer is all.

However, I am absolutely amazed at the power delivery of the P+, and the fit/finish is second to none, truly "magic in a tube". One area that I am looking to tweak is the button travel and spring resistance. The battery post is already at 4 brass washers and can't take another, so I gather the only other means would be with different springs. Oh and the locking switch... genius! I have another bottom button mod with a screw lock and almost never use because it was such a pain to lock/unlock.

The other big surprise is just how lightweight the P+ body is, even when I got the mail I was thinking "no way is she in this box, it's too light". Nope, just slimmed it down to almost nothing weight wise. The reduction in weight does nothing to take away from the sturdy and solid feel the P+ is in your hand though... I really want a P+350 now. :)

David, many thanks for sharing your creations with us all!

I'm glad you are liking the new lock! I spent a lot of time on that bad boy! On the spring rate of the switch, i do sell a Heavy duty spring for the switch. I may make some longer posts too in the future so you can adjust the throw even more when using the IMR 18490.

I was lucky enough to make a trade and am now happily vaping on my P+ 500. I have to confess when I went to put a battery in it I thought I would have to find a video to show me where to unscrew it because the seam was almost invisible. ;) Now thats QUALITY. Now I am waiting for my P+ 650 to ship.

18650's will be shipping this coming week :) I should be able to get them all out or damn close!

I'm stuck on a 24hr lifeflight shift & will be in the ER for 3 days after that. My friend just skyped me that he picked up a p+18650.

Please god, save me one. Wing & vaperologist---- don't buy them all!!! Lol

Your friend best hope they don't end up in the ER when it's your shift, especially with his P+18650 in tow! I tease...

So after a day of using the P+, I feel I need to revise my comments from earlier. Especially due to the grin on my face each time I lock the switch.

The burnt taste was sort of a combo of better power delivery and the CE2 wicking issues (that should have been my first diagnosis). I decided to head out with a 2.5ohm CE2 tank and just get time with the P+, learn how she wants to be vaped. Sure enough, we're getting along great now. :D

I do think I'm going to try a Heavy Spring on my next batt order. But I am still interested in trying a longer post... I'm thinking no more than 1-2mm max. Maybe the 18500 batts are the trick too...

I hope my posts aren't coming off as negative or disrespectful, not my intent what so ever. I could not be happier with my P+18500 and a P+18350 has already been in and out of my cart since I got home. The initial break-in/learning experience is what I find fun with getting a new mod/device/toy; learning, tuning and finding the sweet spot. Just something that carries over from my time the PC Overclocking world I guess (Nah, I was a tinkerer long before that).

When I placed my order for my PrecisePlus 18650, I was asked what type battery I was planning to use. ie:AW P 18650 protected, IMR 18650 un-protected, or LiFePO4 pair. Can anyone enlighten me why this was asked? Is a different spring or something being installed depending on how I answered? If so, I would have liked the option of selecting IMR 18500 with Kick. If you don't already know what that means, you will soon.

Yep. That's the page I was on. I still don't see any mention of a P+18650.
So... What's "kick"???

If it's not showing, you need to go to the page and hit your refresh button or empty/delete your computer cache as it's autoloading an older version of the website :)

the kick makes any 18650 a vw device. Just use the kick and a 18500 battery. Not gonna post a link but you can find it, its not quite out yet

Maybe these will help. They are pictures of a Kick prototype. Final production is still a few weeks/months away. Not sure yet. All I know for sure is that the beta testers age expecting some in the next week or so.

Take the 18650 battery out of your +P18650 and drop this and an 18500 battery in there and you have a power regulated PrecisePlus 18650. (Who said you can't improve upon perfection?)

Edit: That "improve on perfection" remark was a poor choice of words. I guess you *can't* improve on perfection. But!... You can give it a better battery. And that is exactly what I believe I am accomplishing when I substitute a "Kick"/AW IMR 18490 in place of an AW P 18650. It may not run as long but, ooooh the consistency of the vape while it does. Hey! That's why they make battery chargers and re-chargable batteries.
