A buddy of mine is very loyal to this site, and loves his e-cig. My girlfriend used to smoke, and thankfully quit because of me.. but I have a feeling she still has cravings.

How much more healthy are these e-cigs compared to cigarettes?

No health claims here other than if you already smoke cigarettes, the e-cig is probably safer because you inhale less chemicals. If your girlfriend has already quit smoking she needs no smoking alternative. She has already done the hard part, she has become a non-smoker. Do not encourage her to adopt a smoking substitute for a temporary craving.

Well, I am new to this, I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to this subject but there are no cancer causing ingredients in the e-cig... that's a big plus for me. Not to mention I feel like I can breathe again and it's only been like 4 days... you just FEEL better :) hope somebody else jumps in and helps you out.

all we can really tell you is you are cutting out 3996 chemicals, compared to cigarrettes although there are some studies that suggest they aren't harmful. No one can say with more than 99% surety. The 3 or 4 chemicals in them are all safe for ingestion, but no one has inhaled them until a couple years ago. I believe they are every bit as safe as any nicotine patch or gum,

If you do compare them to real cigarettes though they are seriously at least 100 times safer

They only way I would tell her about e ciggs is if she goes back to smoking again, then I would suggest trying e cigarettes, I am also new to this, but a lot of experience in quitting smoking and going back, wish I knew about these before...If she is not smoking now leave well enough alone , as time goes on she will have less and less craves..

Excellent. That's pretty much what I would have gone for. No sense in getting her back into any kind of habit lol

Thank you everyone for giving me a little insight on these amazing things

I would suggest you read this interview with the anti-smoking researcher who did a research study on the chemicals in PV's.

Murray Laugesen: E Cigarette Interview

Excellent post, anyone with questions about PV's/cigarettes needs to read this one. Good info in regard to WHO and FDA classification process also. We have seen bits and pieces of the Ruyan testing result in other places on this Forum, get the whole picture on this link.
Thanks!
