Yeah but most of those people are convoluted and have distracted wicks.
it's not nichrome anymore BR, now it's KANTHAL wire, and someone in China is taking notes here and at Raidy's. It just goes too fast for me, let it shake out. Know the bottle mod is best, toss all but the white ring and put as many clear tubes on E2's as i can cut with my cheap Tubing Cutters, I'm a happy camper

kwcharlie if you're stuffing the white mouthpiece down against the cup what are you using for a mouthpiece... drip tip?
YES DRIP TIP, and get marke on the white stuff next to the cup, think it's juice but may be burnt white plastic, don't taste, don't care, the white ring is too KISS.
I only use one with it on the cup these days. Been using it since way back when on an XL in the original tube. It has some brown on the center part. The taste is the same if I take it out and tail pipe it.
When are you gonna get your stuff together and come over here so we can compare notes?
I've made a semi-genesis E2.
It uses the fine SS mesh (as specified by Raidy) which arrived this morning. I couldn't get the rolled mesh to fit into the air hole in the cup (as on my previous drawing of a full genesis E2). So initially I broke the cup off and tried to use a kitchen foil bung instead with the mesh wick passing through the centre of that (and the two wires passing down the outside of the bung). That didn't want to work when I put it all back together (maybe one of the wires broke).
Finally - on a new E2, I threaded the rolled ss mesh wick through the existing coil (after carefully removing the original wick). I then pressed the mesh wick into one of the slots on the side of the cup and curved it down into the chamber below the cup (this, of course also allowed be to keep the central air tube intact). This is working very well - producing a good amount of vapour and a clean smoke. It's slightly warm - but that's probaby because the mesh wick is quite near the end mouthpiece. I haven't sealed up space around the cup yet so I have to keep the device upright.
I took photos of the work in progress - but (annoyingly) they'e all come out very dark... I'll pull it apart when it's emptied and take some more photos. Here is a drawing of how my mod now looks. I think it is safe to say Raidy's idea works extremely well... at least as a semi-genesis E2 - it might be ten times better as a full genesis.

Yup - I boiled it for 5 mins, rolled it and oxidized the end - as Raidy's specification.

Raidy - I can't really say yet. It certainly produces a lot of vapour and it's beginning to run a little bit hot now (I can feel it stinging the back of my throat, perhaps its running low). My first tank was a very VG-heavy mix as I didn't want to waste too much real juice - so taste-wise, I'll know when I refill with pure stuff. I suspect the bent wick (touching the outer tube) is also reducing the capillary action. I'll try to get it right tomorrow.

YES, let's have a Houston party next week, I'll go to EPO and see what they have, maybe a job going that way, been driving West lately to rigs.
