I'm curious what juices and flavors folks have found that can run for a while between cleanings. It be nice to find other flavors that run well in here without going through massive trial and error. So far for me VB Arctic Ice has been the best. I can usually get about 10ml through before I need to clean it. Even then I don't think I really need to, it just feels like I should. Their clear fruits I average about 6ml. VB French Vanilla and their other dark juices I'll be lucky if I can get through 1 2ml fill. All juices have been 80pg/20vg.

MFS Nuport hardly gunks at all whereas my Dunhill is a gunk producer.

I guess I wasn't so much worried about the what's or whys though it would be nice to know. I thought for a bit it might be something to do with the menthol too. For me just wanna be able to stock up on a handful of flavors that I can reasonably confident won't require a daily cleaning without having to find out the hard way.

One juice I remember distinctly is Vermont Vapor Cool Mint. I used it when I first started out. Clear as water and my attys almost never needed cleaning. I'm sure there's others out there like that.

Is there any issue with cleaning and reusing the PTB I should be aware of during my cleaning cycles? I know it's not hard to fold new strips, I'm just lazy.

All I've ever had to do with PTB is rinse it in hot water and blot it dry with a paper towel. It should last you a long time.

for the mesh, I'm thinking stainless steel woven wire cloth, type #304,(and mesh size probably 3 to 4 hundred) but I'm not sure yet either.
I've purchased nico coil wire from them.. Fogot who asked but standard atty coil wire is 38 g I believe. Got 34 / and 32 g also. 32 is HOT!! Burn the silica rope packing smooth up on one I built. Using a 3.7 14500 batt at that. Prolly best to use 34 or 36 g wire for coils.

I kinda doubt it. The TV Tobacco/Menthol I use clogs them up after about 3ml.

I do know mine is made from macerating real tobacco leaves... maybe that's why.

TV's tobacco is notorious for clogging attys and cartos; a lot of impurities/particulate in the eliquid due to his particular extraction process. All the dark-colored, sweet, bakery- and dessert-type juices are cloggers too and should be used judiciously, if at all. I'm back to clear, unsweetened juices, like simple tobaccos and menthols, and my attys and cartos last much longer and hardly ever burn anymore.

But I like my fruity flavors. I guess I'm gonna have to make a decision, keep my candy or keep my lazy. Life is full of hard choices.

rbonie I'm thinking of something like part # 85385T884 ( <--you can copy and paste the # on their 'find' box )

it's woven (wire cloth) so I'm wondering if that's what works best
keep us updated on what you find out too, and what part #'s you consider
yeah... looks about right but... jeeeze $14.42 per sheet??!! My name is R C Bonie.... The "c" stands for CHEAP!!. (just ask my kids!!)

You are counting on the ptb to unroll a bit once its in there? Do you cut off the wicks with this and how much of the PTB do you use on each side...

Haven't made a syringe with it yet. Got a bottle mod but haven't worked out the wicking issue yet. Gonna do this on the syringe, (when I get em(sigh). Have done this on stock E2's tho and seems to solve the wicking issues.

[stainless steel mesh part # 85385T884 ]

yes but it's a foot by a foot
that should be plenty to make quite a few, and each carto could last a year

now I just wish I knew if the woven mesh is the best, since they have so many other patterns.
getting enough would also help to try the wire mesh instead of ptb (but they sell nylon mesh too haha)

Thick nichrome is good, should be easier to work with too
