So I was loving these ce2's for the last 2 days then hit a speedbump today. With the ptb mod it was wicking amazing until my most recent refill. I put some thick juice in this time. Does the tea bag mod seem to be less effective with thicker juices to anyone else? Do the 3.0's with PTB mod wick thick juices better than these 2.5's?

Thanks

well yeah, if your using really thick juice your gonna run into issues at 2.5 ohm, the 2.8,29,30 perform better with thicker juice.

you can also try this, lift up the ptb strips as to move that area around with the cut wicks so they spread out again.
then you can stab the coil area with a sewing needle to soften that area up and by the slits..

if that doesnt work then you can try a thinner ptb strip, if that doesnt work then you can try the ptb but try to cut a peace of it by the slits so you can stuff it in the slits a little, not the whole ptb but a peace of a layer. this way more ptb is making contact thus hopefully getting that thicker to juice to coil a little better

i have a juice that is rather thick, like extra vg thick, seems even thicker an it gives me issues, i can make it work though but its not perfect since its so thick i dont think the ptb or wics can move it fast enough.

i noticed the thinner the juice the better the e2 works

Also, don't know if it's been done but can you use just one long piece of ptb and use it up one side, through the slits across the coil and down the other side?

I know bad is the expert. But just my 2 cents, rite now I'm vapping on 100% Walmart vg(skin softener) I am not using any plugs and it is working excellent.

I was pulling the wick out and then when I made some cuts the wick pulled out of the coil. Now I have no wick at all in the coil. Is there anything I can do to make this new e2 wick with the PTB?

sorry, i never had that issue and never played with that issue but you can try to take the remainding wick and lay it accross the coil and tucked the slits and try that.

now if you can cut the carto so you can expose the cup area like in our mods, then you can wrap the wick around the coil and then down the slits or even using a pushing needle, get them at a sewing store, and push the thread through the coil. get a needle that has a decent sized slot so you can get your wick in it

I guess I can't say its 100% a wicking problem. Maybe 20% of the time. The rest of the time there is a huge cloud of vapor, just no flavor. Don't really know how to explain it better. I think the ptb has solved most of the wicking issues, but I swear sometimes the flavor just vanishes unless I let it sit for a few.

Don't know if the 2.5 coil burns too hot or what. I seem to get more flavor with short drags as opposed to maximum lung expanding inhales. lol

Coming off the 510 regular setup I'm just so used to dragging like that. ;)

It wasn't my intention to pull the wick out of the coil. Being brand new it was very dry and I just wasn't careful enough, it was only the second one I was using PTB on. I will try to lay a piece of wick across the coil and into the slits.
I don't think I want to attempt to cut this steel cart, it will be dead for sure.

I'm here mainly for E2 R4 info but couldn't let this one go by without a comment - I respect everyone's opinion but when that is stated as fact it's just ignorant! - I've been w/TV for 5 months and can attest that none of the 12 juices from them has ever clogged a carto or atty of mine! (FACT) - typically I use a TV juice for 3 weeks + with top-offs and around that point if the carto is still firing OK, I'll load a new one and clean the used carto for re-use - can't challenge you on the two tobaccos 'cause haven't tried them yet (mixing my own tobaccos now with FA concentrates....love 'em but that's my opinion!!) but the Sweet flavors are "outrageous" and the pricing is more than competitive based on the quality and accuracy (opinion!) - thousands do and will attest to the same - "Notorious for clogging"....based on what??? - if you got some facts, let's here 'em - otherwise, please phone your opinions in to Fox "News"

Based on these, just for starters. These threads come from Geoff's subforum, from his fans, not critics.

I have nothing against TV's juices and never did. If you have more questions about juices, please start a thread in the appropriate subforum ('Requests for opinions', for instance). We don't want to hijack Bad's thread. Sorry, Bad.

i modded the tankomizer and at 5volts with wicks cut and ptb inserted into the stem and a super tiny hole at top i have been veping this sucker dry. but refilling leaks and holding it in the wrong angle will cause it to leak out the tiny hole and its extra tiny, but its no where near perfect and you will get dry spots often

How about a small slit instead of a hole?

did that the other day and made it worse, juice seeps right through, and its very very tiny and still seeps through.

im able to get it to work better then the way it came. its a very cool vape even at 5v and it needs a higher volt then 3.7 becuase at 3.5 ohms its way to high. im not wasting tim eon it i just figured to test a little

ya, but sometimes we never give up and end up going back for another thought. I have done a couple of bottle top mods and used a 2 way vacuum check valve with no wick and had some success. but it would be a pain in the .... to install it on the bottle bottom. Oh well.
