My best guess is yes, they will, Mike.

Greed, indeed.
Downright predatory if you ask me. For years they offer Free (Ad-based) service. They get you to rely on the service, I have over a thousand posts on various forums pointing to these links. Stuff that I can never go back in and fix now.

Then they break all your links, and hold you hostage to their most expensive plan if you want your old links to work again.

No warning, no migration solution allowing you to at least maintain your old links but not create any new ones. They offer you one choice, $400 a year. You can host your own website for a fraction of that price!

I too hope this was a last ditch effort to save them from drowning, I would throw them a rock. Yes, I will badmouth that service whenever the subject comes up.

Had they handled it differently I would probably have subscribed to a "reasonable" plan.

Hi, I'm pretty new to vaping and looking to move on from filling 808 cartridges. I'm looking to have the safest vape possible. Should I forget about vaping a pod system that uses silica? I was also looking at slightly thicker batteries with cartomizers. What do you recommend for safer vaping?
Let's not lose perspective. Any vape is at least one (and possibly several) orders of magnitude better/safer than smoking. Given that you're new to vaping and still having some cig cravings, your primary objective right now should be to find something that you enjoy using, that keeps those cravings at bay.

mike; would you expect a temperature difference between these coils? on the right is my standard which you have already tested(2ohm,32g). on the left 2ohm,28g. in steam engine the left coil is blue and the right coil is red but i perceive more heat from the left coil even though ramp time is doubled. cap heats up faster on the left coil (mass i suppose). someone noted that water content was left out of the 18 variables, which made me think of the variable of coil mass. i'm still seeking less coil temp.
could you test this?

I dont blame you for wanting to move on from 808 cartridges, that is a rather dated tech.

Honestly, my comments about silica cartridges were also about older tech like CE4s and Protanks. I have not tested any of the pod mods, they may well have overcome that issue in these newer devices.

I am big advocate of Temperature Controlled vaping. A lot of the newer Pod Mods have this, like the Juul, or the Kimsun Air have temperature control, or at least temperature limiting. I think they are worth a look.

You might want to browse through this thread here, and ask folks there what they think.

It wouldnt surprise me if the two coils were different temps during the same 3-4 second puff. A higher mass coil would have a longer ramp and probably be a lower temp at 3s, consequently I know I will often lengthen my puff time to compensate, and could be getting hotter as a result.

Let me look at what wire I have, I probably do have some 28g laying around. If so, I will give it a test.

As for the water content, I really think that all comes under juice flow and viscosity. I wouldnt count it as 19th variable myself. Higher water content would lower the boiling point of a juice, but I see that as more of how hot do you need to run it to get a satisfying vape, rather than a significant coil temp variable (with all else being equal). Lower boiling points wont need to be run as hot.

my original purpose for water was to increase wicking speed, but lower boiling point was a nice side effect. it is not unusual for me to hold down the button for 15s to get a good puff.
LOL, that very well could explain the extra heat!

Full drag-n-drop upload interface, runs on my own website, 100 times faster than PB, gives me every bit of functionality of PB and a lot more, no Ads, and its free! Even if the software breaks, the links will work forever.

i'm glad you got that sorted. i was somewhat distraught to see a red x in place of your report on my rig. pb burned a lot of people, but your stuff was the most important. (although thousands are outraged)
i have many gigs of photos but do not trust the clouds(see what i did?)

It will take me a while to get it all sorted out. I have the originals, but I need to upload and organize them. Then I can fix the blogs. Still got a bug or two in the software I need to sort out too, I should be able to UL 8mb images, but the server chokes on anything over 2mb.

Where did you get it for free? I looked at chevereto.com and unless they host your site they want $68 for a single site license. I was thinking of putting something like this on my server just to make uploading easier for me.

I host with Lunarpages, they offer a

tool as part of the basic package.

It includes a ton of apps including this one.
