You could be right. I’ll just have to get used to it as I want be nic free. I smoked a pack a day but I would smoke them hard and fast.

Yep you sound like me. a pack a day and somedays of course more thank a pack.
Regular cig... Would take 3 heavy mouth hits and then into lungs as I am really a MTL ...meaning mouth to lung smoker. I just cannot get the hang of direct to lung.
Besides want the flavor to hit tongue then lungs.

Just saw you did order an Ello Happy Dance for you. Be sure to try that two holer I like its the HW2. Any trouble with it just give me a holler.
When will it arrive? Heck I am now about as excited for you as can be.
Think its your missing link.
OH...prime the coil then I start at a temp of 29.8 to be sure not to burn the coil. Break in kinda slow. "Then I start moving the numbers up by 3 points till its warm enough for what I like. I keep the air slot open a bit more than 1/3 open.
You do have 6mg on hand right?
Really a prayer ...HOpe that helps

My husband is still smoking, so easy access. I’ve ordered an Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T Starter Kit. I been doing research and I was drawn to that one and it wasn’t so expensive that I’ll hate myself if I hate it.

WHEN WILL YOUR SET ARRIVE? Yep I am like a little kid wanna know. Excited for you. ACK....just read the above posting and you The Invoke is coming from Florida is in preshipment. What is preshipment?
Not yet shipped? What company did you order from if I may ask. Later get with me and will show where I buy mine from etc.

Ha..feel like someone squashed on my happy dance not getting to you fast/sooner. Wish you were closer I would let you borrow one of my set ups.

A card will be in your box like this below. As I said (read below posting I did that is so dang long with info) I use the HW2 but start lower watts than what they say.
Don't know if that a good thing or not to ignore their watts to start and do my own, what I found worked for me.
Maybe someone will come along and let us/me know.
When I start higher watts as the info says to do- my coils will be burned taste. Nothing worse than burn coil in the mouth.

It will be arriving Friday. My batteries and charger shipped today but don’t have an eta.

Welcome to ECF.

Hopefully you bought the batteries from a reputable battery wholesalers like liion wholesale or imr..

And here is Mooch's blog where you can find his recommended battery chart.

Since you've got batteries on the way those will be most helpful to you once you know at what wattage you enjoy vaping.. but that said, never overlook battery safety. Very important.

I wish you the best of luck, and I conquer with what @Baditude said. Excellent advice right there.

You can do this, and your doing great so far! Definitely something to be proud of.

@Opinionated i bought from mist hub.

Yeah that's not a reputable battery wholesaler...

Use what you already bought to find out where you like to vape, at what wattage etc, and then go from there.

Learn about battery safety etc.

Hey, You bought where you bought THIS time .....but next time stay safer and follow @Opinionated ...as the last thing the hardest thing for me is numbers after the brain bleed etc
Batterys forgetaboutit my mind would say.

So I did what he said. Clicked His links etc as I understood nada no matter how hard I tried. I emailed the companys told them what units I had and asked to be pointed to what I needed. All were so nice to help.

They would have sales and I would buy 4 at a time. Old days only needed one battery now need 2 married ones. No divorce (the batterys) for them ever. I keep them in special colored battery boxes to also keep me safe and not get them mixed up with my singles.

So BATTERY's were super hard for me to understand and still are.
So I followed @Opinionated or tried to (my brains fault NOT his) and bought Where he said and what he said double checking once I reached the site...to stay the safest I could.

@Opinionated probably saved my life in not- blowing myself up

I came to this site long ago and taught myself to try & understand what was being said to stay as safe as I could with a mushed brain.
Laugh..bad thing about it was I knew it. And in the way far back of mind could almost pull info out, but not. My 3 year old in me came out a lot in private stomping her feet.

Laughing at myself I still am miserable at math. I So want to DIY and still not getting it as those type of numbers mush brain... so I still buy juice. Off topic there sorry. Math again.

One thing I do know and Pay Attention to this when your pair of batterys arrive Keep them Married.
In other words charge them together at the same time.
Put them in the mod and keep them together. No Divorce allowed :) In case you do not know what that means and I explained terrible someone will come along and help. I feel My brain is getting wonky so must go for now

But a tid proud of myself - this is the first time I figured out how to do that orange link ink thing...! Probably what made my mind now wonky tired. :) Been trying a few days to figure out how y'all were doing the orange linked names.

Cheers, hugs Blessing! So happy for you! The end of your puzzle of missing link is getting its last piece.

@ckb-downsizing I can’t do math either. I actually tried to watch those mooch videos b/c I saw him on reddit. I don’t understand what he is saying at all with the numbers.

It's not high level math... your likely over thinking it.

We do basic math every day. You add and subtract in order to keep your checkbook balanced, you multiply to figure out the correct amount for your ingredients in a recipe you needed to double, you multiply and use percentages to figure out how much a dress is going to cost with tax before you take it up to the register and find you dont have enough money...

We use basic math every day, and the math required to figure out the watts you can use on any given battery is just another extension of that math.

What's exciting, is that you don't really have to do the math. Mooch was so kind in that video to do it for you, if you find it difficult. In the video, Mooch tells you how many watts each battery can go on a regulated mod.. so all you have to do is know how many watts you vape at, and buy a battery that works for you. To be honest, I liked that a lot myself.. lol.

I'm certainly no mathematical genius, but knowing these things are very helpful for safety reasons.

We are happy to help you, we've been where you are now.. it can seem daunting we know. Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt.

If you have questions or need help, we can help you.

Okay, I don’t like telling people this, but I suffered some brain damage in a car accident. I’m not exaggerating when I say I can’t do math. I cannot do basic addition and subtraction. Intellectually I know how to, in practice I can’t. My working memory is shot and numbers jumble.

I know you’re trying to help, but it’s embarrassing. My husband does math for me. I’m not slow in other areas, but I doubt people will believe me now.

DamnPrecious, why would you be embarrassed about that? It's not your fault you suffered brain damage in a car accident, and I've known others in similar situations. It's incredibly unfun, because you probably remember being capable in those areas, and feel upset about it. I'm glad you have your husband to help.

I also don't know why you feel nobody will believe you, or judge you. I most certainly don't, I feel bad that you had such a horrible event, and I'm glad you have your husband around to help you.

Maybe you can have your husband go through this thread with you, and help you figure out the basic numbers, so that you feel as informed as you can, but you get the results you need?

But, nobody on ECF is going to judge or doubt your brain injury, I don't believe. The only thing it makes me want to do is this: (((HUGS))) and don't beat yourself up for things that are outside of your control.

We are who we are as individuals. I fractured vertebrae and most days I'm just bedridden even after surgeries... I am who I am, and I'm not less of a person because of it - same goes for you. You are who you are, and are not less of a person because of it.

Some things just are.

So we will help you... when you get your new mod, tank and batteries you will play around with it, figure out at what wattage you like to vape, and we will discuss what your battery needs will be then, in a manner you can understand..

Okay?
