if you didn't smoke at certain venues why is it so hard to refrain from vaping? still don't get that......

Because vaping is not smoking and safer then cigs which gives people the right to vape wherever, whenever apparently.

We all know how stiff airport security is currently.. I mean its impossible to bring bottled water in a plane as is. Then u see topics about vaping in a operating plane? ... It doesn't hurt to ask I guess.

At Target Field (where the MN Twins play & it is ((FINALLY!!!)) an outdoor stadium) they have banned vaping.

I haven't tried it yet at Mall of America Field at the Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome (where my beloved, albeit losing, Vikings play ((indoor stadium))). I will ask if I can do it in the gate vestibule (where they used to allow smoking). If not, I'll go to the smoking area.

My set up includes a bunch of mini ego batteries with evods. If I ever have an issue (i.e. they confiscate), the most I'm out is $20. I wouldn't bring the Vamo, SVD or MVP (or heaven forbid I ever got the 134!). Too many idiots in the world & due to the new purse ban, no where to put them!

I know for fact that E-Cigs are banned at University of Phoenix Stadium NFL games. I work for a company that does subcontracted undercover work in the stadium and got into an argument last year towards the end of last years season. Basically, I switched to E-Cigs right before the start of last years preseason which got me tons of 'GZ's' from everyone who knew me, (I had a 2-2.5 PAD habit). I had no problems and vaped in the smoking area. One day towards the end of the season as I was going through the pat down process, (yes, even employees go through it) one of the S.A.F.E. security spotted my EGO and told me it was banned. I explained that I'd brought it in for EVERY game during the whole season and he then showed me a pamphlet that had it listed under the banned items. I quit arguing and told him to radio down to my boss and tell him that I'm going home as I'm not going to work a 14+ day w/out nicotine and he said he'd let me bring it in 'this time'. As soon as I entered the stadium I saw the head of H.R. and asked him about the policy and we walked over to one of the bigwigs in S.A.F.E. security where he asked about the policy and was told that E-Cigs are allowed in for employees but not paying customers. As far as I'm concerned it's nothing more than a policy made by a lazy security company. Idk about any other stadiums but that's my experience at University of Phoenix Stadium NFL games.

Thanks for the heads up on this and I'm totally ...... off! Heading to Phoenix for a wedding in Nov and a bunch of us are going to the Cardinals/Colts game (both bride and groom are from Indiana). I wouldn't have known about this stupid rule. Colts stadium has an outdoor/re-entry area for ALL smokers. Which is totally cool!

So you're telling me that Cardnials Stadium has a designated area for smoking but no vaping allowed?????? This is the most screwed up rule I have ever heard.

I have to vape in the smokers area and while I know e-cigs are banned I've seen a few vapers (although I use my Vamo in all of its glorious 18650 mode all the other vapers I've seen there were using Egos) in the smoking section. I think it depends on who does the pat down search as you enter the stadium whether they'll stop you or not.

Oh, so there are some who get through? Once you get thought the check point, no one says anything in the smoking area? GREAT! As a female and semi-McGyver, that's what bras are for...hiding stuff and I plan on doing just that! ;)

Baltimore stadiums wil allow ecigs. Or maybe not?

Published February 26, 2013 Sports Business Daily requoting Baltimore Sun

Both the Orioles and the Ravens have said that they will "implement plans to allot space for smokers outside of the stadiums." The ban covers "all areas within the stadium gates, and extends to within 25 feet of any entry, outdoor air intake or operable window of the stadium structures." Smoking will "be allowed in the parking lots." The ban takes effect March 4 and "covers only lit tobacco." Chewing tobacco and "increasingly popular electronic cigarettes will be allowed" (Baltimore SUN, 2/26).

Editing my post. Looking on the M&T Ravens website they state something different. According to the website, ecigs will be banned. I am not sure which is correct now and plan to look into this more.

Smoking Policy

M&T Bank Stadium is now a smoke-free facility as required by Maryland State Law. There are no designated smoking areas inside M&T Bank Stadium. Designated smoking areas are located outside of Gates A, B, C, and D. Proceed to the designated smoking areas 25 feet or greater from the stadium entry gates. This policy also applies to electronic cigarettes or any alternative smoking product – they are not permitted. Guests who fail to comply with this policy may be ejected from the stadium. Thank you for your attention to this new policy.

Did anyone see this story about an e-cig company buying the naming rights of a stadium in Wales?
The stadium will be called The Cigg-e Stadium" for three years. Football ground becomes the 'Cigg-E' stadium in controversial sponsorship deal - Telegraph

Althogh it appears that this company makes disposable cigalikes, it is a great marketing idea and helps validate electronic cigarettes. In another article, it was mentioned that the company was going to make the ash cap lights the color of the team.

Unless things have changed from last preseason, I was openly vaping at the Bengals intersquad scrimmage at Paul Brown Stadium. Everyone had to go through security at the gate single file. Pretty sure they were looking for alcohol and guns, checking bags and purses. I had my Provari in my hand in full view, and even raised it in the air a little so that the guy could see it better and he waved me on through.

I vaped in the concouse area where the food and beer are sold. Hardly drew a look from anyone, although I've yet to see another vapor out in the wild other than a vape shop. I thought about joining the smokers outside the gate at their designated spot, just to see if I'd get a reaction about my mod, but I didn't want to smell their smoke.

One of my favorite things to do is vape in smoking areas to see reactions. Living in the middle of nowhere Nebraska and quite possibly about the only vapor in my town, the only one with any kind of a mod I'm sure, it is quite interesting. My goal is to make myself vaping a somewhat normal site and draw people into the wonders of vaping alongside me here!

When I take my vape breaks I'm on the 4th floor landing smoking area. Look for me when you're here. I'm pretty easy to spot as I'm the fat guy with a Vamo in 18650 mode. Or just follow the scent of HHV's Legend.

Out of curiosity, do you know the name of the company that runs security at the Ravens stadium?

Crazy,
While trying to find that for you, I looked on the M&T stadium website and found that they have a different smoke policy than what the newspaper said. Accoring to the site, ecigs will be banned like all other smoking materials. I am going to try to find the origial article and call them to find out which is correct.
