I have written and called good ol' Kulongoski, got a form letter in return and got to leave a message for him...ha... I am working right now on the AG because he is the one that has been *itching the loudest here in Oregon... I hope I can get a meeting with some big wigs here in the state... I hate that I have no one that I know of in power out here... it truly sucks... If I were in Colorado at least I would have a few powerful friends... oh well... We have to start somewhere after all... and I know several people in Portland are vaping so we should have support if we have to raise much of a stink.... Any help of which articles are best and such would be very good... I have the NZ report and a few odds and ends from our favorite doctor Michael Siegel, but in my view more is better... I dont want to give them more than they will read... but I do want to show them we have more than they can imagine...

Anyway... any help would be helpful!!!

It would be helpful to see the paperwork submitted to Suffolk County, what is working and what isn't.

What an unfriendly site Suffolk Co is! Where in the heck are their minutes? Very hard to find anything that has been submitted to that county.

LOL! Kroger won't change his mind once it has been made for him, unless public opinion is decidedly pointed in a specific direction. The more paperwork that is submitted to him from as many different directions as possible is best, especially to let him know that people are aware that he is taking a freedom away.

Paper trails are best laid thick.

I have discovered that nothing is easy when it has to do with politics and money... sadly this has to do with both....LOL... any links to the good stuff would be helpful as well... I am not sure yet if inundating them with information is better than to little ... I am just testing water right now. I want to meet with them Salem isn't to far from us... a few hours... I just want to make sure before I do make an appointment I have all my ducklings in a row.

... I am taking some time off from campaigning for mental health break and finacial recoupe... but will be back on the job soon...

Spikey, you are just incredible! Many of us rant on the forum, but you take action. Activism of any kind is demanding -- physically, psychologically, financially, you name it.

Elsewhere on this forum there is a motion to start a consumer advocacy group. I am not sure if you are taking any part in it, but it may be a way to share the burden with others. Perhaps the group would even consider creating some type of part-time paid position to have someone keep it going. You would be an ideal person for that. I would definitely commit to make financial contributions to make that happen.

Citizen's Petition Pursuant to 21 CFR 10.30 to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Food and Drug Administration Requesting Expansion of Availability of Nicotine Replacement Therapy to Consumers Who Use Tobacco

This is a petition submitted by Richard F. Daines, M.D. NY Commissioner of Health to the FDA in January 2008 requesting wider availability of NRT products. Interesting that they address some of the same issues we face with e-cigs: abuse by adolescents, relative safety, and even "use for situations for temporary smoking restriction".
