I'm curious too if the clone base resolves the "seeping, leaking" between the JFC & AFC. When you get a chance of course.
Yes in deed. Like I said, I didn't have to take this clone base completely apart, because it doesn't leak or wobble. In fact, I'm vaping on a combination: Black-original tank, on top of stainless-clone base for a week or so. I've yet to see a single problem with it.

I have to mention my 2 v3 crii are still working great. It seems Alot had the leaking issue, but I never have. Once I figured out the wicking that is. I have seen a few people shy away from the crius because of folks saying they leak. I do get the sweating between the jfc and afc as Alot have mentioned. But the sweating is a very tiny amount. Folks mentioned the clone works well and if that's the case it is hard to go wrong with these tanks. There are other tanks that have copied the design but with a lesser capacity, and I don't understand that as you will go through some juice. IMHO if you are considering this tank pull the trigger. I use nickel builds in mine and rebuild each weekend, I'm sure could go longer but sweet juices will gunk up with heavy use.

My 3 clones arrived today and despite needing a good soak and scrub as I could smell machine oil just taking them out of the packaging they are now the only tanks in rotation absolutely loving these at 37.5 joules. Got them setup with .4 430 ss coils and getting a great mtl with the AFC three quartets closed got juice flow a quarter open and having no issues with my 70% PG liquid. So easy to build on and the post holes being drilled all the way through hasn't caused me an issue I screw closed till I see the wire move and then a half turn and ohms are reading consistent on both my ml and rx200.

This is the fastest I've got a tank sorted normally takes me a couple of tanks of liquid to get wicking and the like dialled in with this half a tank vaping nirvana found. My clones have a peek insulator rather then the ceramic and my billow v2 drip tips look good on them better then the glass ones it came with 2 of which are somewhere under my chair as they came off very easily and were just the right size to go down the side of the cushion. If your on the fence with this tank get onto fasttech and bag a clone I guarantee it will make a fan of you :).

I wish I had a good news, but I don't. After using my Crius clone base for a week, I started noticing that the gap between AFC a JFC grows every day. Until the whole base became wobbly and leaky like the original. I took it apart and discovered that it is barely holding in place where it was suppose to be press fit. I can split the base by hand. But the PEEK insulator is still good and could be used in the original base.
Of course, my original base is being held together by threaded center pin too.

Plugged in 28g Nichrome coils at my favorite efficient .8 total and this thing is still solid. Tested juice control out on the slopes today and it didn't leak a drop tumbling in my jacket pocket. It also doesn't guzzle the juice at .8 like it did at the stock .3.

Also VistaVapors is having a little sale until midnight via reddit discount, so I stocked back up on juice.

Just like AMD two of my clones have increasing gap problem and only a matter of time before they are useless, shame as it's been a good tank for me but I don't have the tools or the dexterity to replace with threaded. Before these tanks I got in the habit of closing off the airflow when I refilled but these have worked better keeping airflow full open and quickly screwing it back on the mod and taking two good pulls no leaks since I started doing it that way and very little seepage between AFC and jc. Ah well timed to start looking for my next tank at least there are plenty of options.

Look at the vcmt tanks. The wicking takes a bit of practice but I love my 30. Cost turned me off at first but I'm glad I did. The build deck is larger than anything I've worked with in the past.I loved my crii tanks but have all but stopped using em now.

Thanks for the recommendation Hightech but my budget won't run to three of those and being honest they are a bit too large for most of my mods I find flavour drops right off for me at about 4.5 ml's so I'm looking at the new rdta's as they seem simple enough to eliminate the issues ever more complicated rta's are having.

Since I got my Griffin, my Crius hasn't got as much love, so I decided to change that. I always loved my Crius, smooth vape and great flavor and decided to finally put in a vertical build. I did a simple kanthal build with 26ga., reading out at 0.32 ohms and wicked it just like the tutorial by DJLsb Vapes.

It's vaping even better than before, getting better airflow and better flavor. I did have slight seepage between the AFC and JFC before with horizontal coils, but now on day 3 with vertical build and absolutely zero seepage so far. I'm really digging my Crius again and think the vertical coils will be my standard build for it.

Mind sharing how you wick the vertical coil for Cirus it did cross my mind but there is 4 juice slot. So will be interesting to see it.
