Got two. They're nice.

What are some good cleaning methods? I've got a lemon flavor just trapped in there lol.

+1 on above post.
you'll also want to clean the o-rings. those suckers will trap scents even more than the metal will. gently pry them off with a syringe needle or similar. soak in some type of alcohol or make a deodorizing mixture to soak in. to make a deodorizing mixture, mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 quart of warm water. this mixture will also help to rid old bottles of a lingering scent. helps if you DIY or something of the sort.

I always thought soaking the o rings in alcohol would dry them out and make them crack.

Thanks guys, I'll pull it apart and give it a bath here this evening.

that does sound possible, but ive cleaned many an o-ring with both vodka and 91% isopropyl alcohol, without any unwanted effects.

They will however this will only happen over long time use, its kind of like when you use ethanol gas in cars not designed for it. Eventually you are going to ruin some seals but it normally takes years.

Just got this setup the other night. Out of the "box" the rda preforms well but with a little modding she can really put out some vapor.

You put one of those brass or copper bullet drip tips on your Vented Telescope with that Octo setup, and you're vaping out of a 50 cal shell. That's my setup, and I think it looks really keen. The Vented Telecope has caught a lot of crap with the reviewers, but I got to say I love the look of this thing, plus it's working fine... so far. Probably be crying like a baby in a couple of weeks when it falls apart LOL. But that'll give me an excuse to by an EA mod...

...yeah, as if I'm really gonna need an excuse to buy an EA mod :D

Have you completely disassembled the telescope yet? Not really much in there to fall apart. I did however use some threadlock on some of the internals. =D

I'm trying to figure out how to disassemble the switch. I'd like to sand down or replace the pin if I could. Any ideas?

Yeah... I guess I'm refering to the fragility of the button stem. Seems it's pretty easy to snap, from what I've heard. But no, I haven't disassembled the swich at all. No need at this point.

I wouldn't have either however the bottom battery contact nut fell off and thus it wouldn't turn off so while fixing that I figured I should threadlock everything that MIGHT need it before it happened elsewhere. As for the button stem, yea the screw in there isn't very thick, a good drop would definitely bend if not snap it however after dis-assembly it looks as if it shouldn't be too hard to replace, it just might look a bit ghetto. XD

We have found that there are at least four versions of the RDA. It seems the first two came shinier than the later ones that have more of a matte finish like they're powder coated. These also have a shaft protruding from the airhole in the base to eliminate/minimize the chance of juice going into the base and causing that gurgling issue.

Sent from my pho...my portable communications, navigation, and media command console.

why are you guys drilling an extra hole in the "shell"? where are you drilling it?

It's to increase air flow and thus vapor production. I don't line my stock air hole up anymore, but you can. Then look down into the cap from the drip opening and see where your coil is. Then mark the spot on the side of the cap and drill. Start with 1/16th and work your way up from there based on your preference. I like really short drags and find 3/32" works best for me.

i drilled a 3/32 hole inline with the stock hole on the first ring and i dont notice a difference in vapor production.

It's not about having it in line with the stock air hole. It needs to be positioned over (on) the coil. If you were to look at my RDA into the 3/32" air hole, you would see my coil. Again, lined up with the coil (like in the video), not with the stock air hole.

Got bored last night and made a new hole and plugged the old one. So now there is only a 1/8 hole in the side in the second groove right below the where my coil sits so all air blows right across the coil. Currently running a 1.2 ohm coil with 3mm silica, taste and vapor production is amazing, however it does take a bit of getting used to at first
