I am still waiting for my 2nd Odin that was "delivered" on 9/4. USPS says it was stolen which is crap, I live in an apt complex and flat rate boxes fit in my tiny mailbox alongside 50 others and the office didnt have it and craig told me to file a claim with usps, then after a bit he offered to send me a replacement if I sent him $6 for shipping so I did and haven't heard anything in a week. :(

That's lame. You shouldn't have to pay anything. He should send you a new one. That's what the insurance is for. It's on Craig to make it right, you shouldn't have to do anything but send one email to Craig. That's just terrible customer service

That is surprising. I would not think Craig would charge you for shipping again.

To me, customer service is extremely important and I don't think it was handled correctly. There should have been no charge as he already paid for the item, the shipping and received nothing. That is unacceptable to me and I would never do that to a customer.

This is awesome. Just bash a guy in a location that he can't respond to your criticism. I've lost respect for my fellow reonaughts. Unreal.

Truly.

The vaping community is starting to turn me off.

Sh t happens. Get over yourself.

You are lucky he offered to help at all.

You guys have fun bashing people that can't respond.

Pathetic truly pathetic.

If you paid for a device and shipping and received nothing, that would be fine with you? And you would find it acceptable to pay again? I sure hope not because that would be insane.

What happened is just a case of not so good customer service. Hopefully he learns from it and prospers. The Odin is a very nice rda and he seems to have other nice things on the horizon.

When I received my 1st Odin the center post needed to be replaced.

Craig emailed me a pre-paid label, installed a new center post and had it back to me in about a week.

To me, that's pretty good customer service!!!

I would agree, you did receive good customer service.

Do you think the gentleman that received nothing got good service?

My :2c:

Loki Lab did not "do that" to a customer, USPS did that to a customer and should be held to a higher standard, especially seeing that they are propped up by said customers hard earned tax dollars. It is amazing to me, considering the general attitude of most (certainly not all) postal workers, that anything makes it to their final destination. The idea that they can be paid to provide a service and say oh well, too bad when something disappears is what I find unacceptable. That insurance has to be purchased separately is a crock. I manage a restaurant, if I had one price for a meal and charged an additional charge to ensure that it was edible, how would that go over?

Loki, IMO, is under no obligation to replace an item lost due to things out of their control. I think it is great customer service to replace the item at shipping cost and would be happy with that were it me. To replace it at no cost would be exceptional but I would not expect that personally.

See here's the thing. Craig and Rob are the only two modders I've had complete satisfaction with. Can Rob and Craig control the USPS. NO.

No they can't.

So, When I've had issues (Other than the USPS) Craig asked me to pay shipping to rectify the situation. Reason being that it is easier to create a label for someone that just paid for an item then to create one on your own. In return I received $45 in drip tips. So "Insane" no. GREAT service YES!

Here's an idea. Start your own machine shop. Build a reasonably priced mod or atomizer. Set up a website. Do your own billing, shipping, milling. Deal with the Government Fed, State, Local. Take an entire weekend that you could have spent with family and friends and pack a couple hundred orders.

Then has USPS f-everything up and have people bash you for a week or longer.

You all have fun. I'm out.

Ok...

But you don't receive the device you paid for. Now what? You say oh well, stuff happens and buy another one?

I guess I'm the only one that finds this ridiculous. Perhaps I got the impression that everyone should provide the same service I received from ProVape. Apparently I was spoiled and that is a rare happening. But guess what, that is exactly how I operate.

I just feel bad for the guy that didn't receive his Odin(should've been delivered a month ago), paid for shipping again and a week after that still hasn't received a shipping email.

No, I wouldn't be happy with the situation, but I think the venom should be directed at the entity causing the issue which in this case is the USPS.

Yes USPS lost it, not Craig's fault.

But what would your expectations be? That you would just have to suck it up and buy another one or have to pay for shipping again?

I would expect to pay nothing more and receive my item. When my ProVari was lost/stolen or whatever happened with it, ProVape filed a fraud claim with the usps and sent me a new one. That's what I expect out of a vendor.

I've been self employed and look at it from both sides. In my business dealings I have taken care of problems due to issues beyond my control. I agree that that is exceptional customer service.

Paying for shipping only, to me, would not be out of line and while I may not be thrilled about it, I would not hold the vendor responsible for the actions, or inaction, of others.

^^ yo xcrazyd, With the ridiculous money that company charges (and marks pay) for essentially a battery holder with a chip I would say there is plenty of headroom in every transaction to pay employees to file claims with the USPS. There's also enough headroom to "just" send you another when you prolly paid ATLEAST 3 times what that thing costs them.

Do you think in the case of an Atomizer as well made as the odin at $69 there is that kind of headroom?

Hell no. It's cheaper for him to take a complete loss and send you another one (for $6) than to spend hours dealing with a branch of our U.S. Government.

And that's him trusting that you aren't a shady bassturd who got it and wants another as freebie.

Works both ways and you've kicked this carcass enough. Why not find another topic and bring something other than "pro whatever" kicks AYuss and the small guy who fabs and (tries to) interact with his customers on here is lame because of circumstances out of his control. I think your feelings on the matter are clear. Any further posts about it are just plunging you deeper into trollvil.

If the Odin was ordered during the past Labor Day weekend, the shipping was free. It was a 'special' that Loki offered. Loki still paid the shipping. The customer didn't. The fact that the item was stolen was neither the fault of Loki, nor the customer. the fault lies with the USPS. But the fact remains that if the Odin was stolen, Loki/Craig is out the money, not the customer, if Loki ships out another Odin. The lousy $6 shipping doesn't even cover the loss to Loki. I see no reason for bashing Loki for asking to at least cover the shipping.

I'm with Matt on this one. I am truely disappointed to be an REOnaut right now. I can't believe all the senseless BS that has been going on here. Everyone whining and .....ing about something that any vendor has no control over.... Craig is Loiki Labs, not USPS.... Craig has no control over what the USPS does. He is at their mercy the same as we are. He packaged, labeled, and shipped everyones items. His part of the transaction is over... Go over to the USPS site and ..... about your package sitting in LA for 3 days and stop bashing Craig... If Provape gives such good customer service, then why do you buy from anyone else!!!! This is such utter .....ing and crying... People need to get over themselves...

As to tmel's situation, lets look at the reality of what could have possibly been. Technically, the way the transaction is handled when an item is lost in transit is it is up to the vendor to file the claim in this situation. This process can take up to 90 days to resolve. Would I have paid $6 to have a 2nd device sent out to me, probably if it would get the item to me quicker than 90 days... Does that make it right? Everyone has a different opinion about that, i'm sure... Maybe he should've bought it from Provape since they have such great customer service!!! Maybe they would've just sent him one for free, for being so awesome.... And the real ball buster here is at the time his got lost and offered a replacement, Craig was out of stock on the atty and just had them available this past weekend..... Thats why tmel hasn't received his replacement yet. Had nothing to do with customer service... If the vendor has nothing in stock, what do you expect him to do? Maybe Craig should've worked out something with Provape since they have such great customer service!!!!

This thread was created to share info and tips about an atomizer. Can we now get back to discussing what the OP intended for this thread to be, instead of a whiny .....fest!!!!!

It is up to sender, he has several options.

Best approach is to clearly state.
not responsible if lost when sent via USPS shipping.
Insurance suggested and cost is.
Signature required suggested and cost is
Or
Just raise the price and eat the few that get lost

Why do you think Reos ship signature required? Robs already run into all these issues and had to eat the cost.
Lost in shipping is a cost of goods sold and covering it needs to be built into your business plan and pricing.
Yes it's painful for a small business but those are the facts.
