what I am about to say not only applies to the odin but to any dual coil larger atty.
I've seen a lot of guys say that these atties are great for big lung hits but not so much in the flavor department and I can see how one might come to that conclusion and develop a pre conceived notion towards this thought, but this is simply not true. I'm all about flavor and I have even went to the extent of modifying atties to alter there chamber size and alter air flow characteristics and I can tell you that it is very possible to get a dual coil atty to taste every bit as good as a small single coil atty, just with double the density and double the vapor.
a coil itself makes the same flavor regardless of where the coil is mounted, the atties job is to extract then condense this vapor and deliver it to the user through the drip tip and how it does this directly translates to the end flavor and vapor you receive... the same exact coil may deliver great vapor and flavor in one setting while tasting pretty bad in another... sometimes the difference can be as little as 1 or 2mm out of ideal position but there is no difference between these coils, just differences in the way the atty extracts and processes it.
if I build one coil and mount it in my chalice I can get absolute peak flavor and vape from it, an awesome vape that is pure bliss... well now if I build 2 of the same exact coils and mount them in a dual coil atty and run them at exactly double the voltage and with each having as tight of an airflow as they had in the chalice then I can get the same blissful vape in stereo, double the vapor with same great taste, just more of it.
where many guys are going wrong with duals is #1 doing this on a mech is a whole different set of challenges because you have to alter your build to extract double the power, and altering your build alters the flavor. that and the pre conceived notions leads many to believe these larger dual coil atties just can't provide the flavor like a small chamber atty can. well trust me, you are wrong... these dual coil atties can provide every bit as good and flavorful and enjoyable vape or I wouldn't be using them. I get a delightful vape from my chalice at ~ the 20 watt range and I get equally as flavorful and enjoyable yet thicker denser vape from my duals in ~ the 40 watt range...
for those that are of the belief that the dual coil atties can't produce the same flavor I'm telling you that that's your problem in the first place, that you believe that. if you built your first single coil and you couldn't get a good vape then you'd try and try again until you figured out how to get it right. well duals are the same thing. first you have to know that awesome flavor is possible and then you have to tune your vape till you get it there if that's what you want. this is much easier to do on a regulated mod than it is on a mech but it is very possible to do on a mech too... you need to play with wire size and air flow rate just as you would have to get the single to where you wanted to be in the beginning but it is very possible to get just as great of a vape maybe even more so because of increased density and volume, only thing that gets sacrificed is battery life as your going to be using and consuming more power
