From what I understood from the photos of the post of the German DT Forum, the tip addresses a different problem, i.e. leakage between the metallic ring and the Ody base. I thought you were talking about loosing liquid from the connector pole to the CT.
For the latter problem Zoranth's tip is a nice alternative method.

Hera, please tell the german guys that their trick was a good one but putting a thicker wick will solve their issues and Ody will vape even better too

As soon as the extra ceramics are here (already sent by Vassili), I will carve out the slots in one of them with a Dremel (some already did), so the 3mm Bengs will fit, that should do the trick - with a handshake coil binding.
As for the extra O-Ring: Raagna said, that you can also use the O-Ring from a CE2 clearo or from a smokmizer - almost any small one will do.

Just been stalking the situation on the French GG sellers site. He has plenty of nice stuff left there that no-one else has left... There was also a nice picture showing all the stuff that come with the Ody upgrade
also I did notice they have the Ody wick for sale.
I never said its useless hera. I just said that if some people have problems with single wick, they can use doubled wick

Will a sealed bottom atty work in the upgrade, and do the ce2 attys have to be a certan size or will they all work?
I think the CE2 mode is for regular length CE2s, though I could be mistaken

Since I only have 2 and 3 mm wick (for my V21) I will have to wait until the 1,5 mm arrives.

If you push the wick inside slots you can use 2 mm doubled Hera. As for the parts that you said, i dont have extra parts for UFS. You have to disassemble the Ody to use it on UFS. But I am working on those parts

I've tried with 2x2mm but one strand gets cut off from the metal nut.
The extra ceramics arrived today, so I can try it out on one by carving out the slots with a dremel, then 2x2mm should fit in without problems.
my 2x2mm works very nice Hera. Dont double the wick, just cut 2 pieces of wick and push them inside slots. Keep wick by fingers while screwing the nut around metal part
