I'm with ya blackwater! Very excited to try my first rba, but also a bit intimidated! I'm sure we'll be pros in no time though I fully expect there to be a fairly steep learning curve, but that is to be expected with out first rebuildables. My main concern is using up all my wick before I get a chance to order more, though I have an extra 3 ft. coming with Penelope. Plenty of wire though Good luck to ya!

It along with th Ody should be at my house Friday and I got a vape meet Saturday. Hope I don't drink too much Friday night whilst I'm messing around with coil building. You dont really need an o-ring for drip mode... but if you must have one Harbor Freight or your local hardware store should have what you need and then some....

Off the top of my head I dont know the exact size but at Harbor Freight you get O-ring kits for about 7 bucks metric and standard buy both kits its worth it... but if no Harbor Freight is available you can look at the GG Wiki and there all the sizes are listed as well as in the sticky section of the GG forum....

I have my ody on the way!!! I am just worried I may run out of wire and wick before COV has more on hand. Can someone put a sticky up with suppliers of wick, and wire. This should stay on top so others looking will be able to find it. Also suppliers that you don't need to buy like 500 or more feet of the stuff, would be nice.

as krinkle said you dont really need an o-ring. But its 11x1,5 if you want to buy local. Also you can buy from bruce the 12 o-rings for Odysseus and you will find this one on the set of those 12 o-rings Ty

Hello Imeo! I just received my drip mode parts from COV. The small base drip mode, small top nut/ring for drip mode, and the drip mode mouthpiece.

I had asked you earlier on in the thread if the o-ring that goes on the drip mode 510 base came with the base. The one I received from COV didn't come with the O-ring I needed Where could I go about finding one? What size would I need if I were to find one locally? Can I use one of them off my Ody when it arrives?

There is supposed to be an O-ring that goes on the base of the threads on the drip mode base correct? Between the bottom of drip mode mouthpiece and base?

Does anyone have a picture of where both wires would go, if the one wire is NOT twisted around the lower post?

I know Imeo did a video, but I couldn't see where both wires went.
I know he had them inside the base, I just couldn't tell where. LOL

I believe my leaking in large mode is because of the wire around the lower post.
Every time I get gurgling, I'll tip my Ody up and undo the bottom, and the knurled ring is loose.
Every time. I can only think that maybe my wire is somehow forcing the ring loose during use.
I have not yet been able to get it to fire with both wires inside the base, so I'm hoping someone has a picture they can show me of where each wire goes.

And what's this I hear about new internals?

I'm starting tonight.

I started tonight as well, made a single and dual coil just to try out when my ody comes in tomorrow/monday SO EXCITED.

running 34 kanthal and silver... wish i had my multimeter around so i could test theses...

I think it's coming loose as you unscrew it, friction from the o-ring causing it. Double check the other knurled ring, that holds the negative wire. If it's not really tight, you could be turning the whole ceramic housing when you try to open the fluid control.

Just realized my ceramic and internal is different from what i have seen it only has 1 channel in it not 2 like the one shown in utube vid i added above so i have to wire it up only one way i just hope new ceramics i ordered fit it ????? Am i going mad lol

Just a question. Was the Ody supposed to be sent out tested and assembled? The ones that came to Finland were all un-assembled hence untested and also most had to be washed carefully before use because of oily taste and substance in them from machining.

what have i got i have been looking at the ceramic housing that is sold out!!! and it has 2 slots in it mine has 1 ?? so i take it the new ceramics i ordered wont fit my housing ?? my one has 1 slot and a thin grove so ceramic is handed thus the wire that goes to small contact has to go in larger ceramic slot or you get a dead short any ideas pleease

thankyou mosin that helps a lot.... it looks like i have the new ceramic set up with old centre pin so the ceramics i have ordered will fit pheeeww!!! thou i need another o ring to go inside ceramic if the german guy is correct he put one in there but i was one short ? i will get there thank you for your help

Greek seller send it assembled, other sellers unassembled LS. But even if Ody comes assembled you have to disasssemble it to clean it.
All the parts are clean by ultrasonic and there is no oil or soapy taste. But better to clean it again because people that assemble it had dirty hands maybe. Trust only your hands lol

ps....No reason to disassemble the rebuildable part, just wash it as it is

after you screw the ring that keeps rebuildable part in place, then grab the ceramic housing and screw it more. That way the rebuildable part stays in place and doesnt get unscrewed by turning the mouthpiece Soul.

No Imeo sends them to his distributers in parts. They can decide if they want to assemble. However he always advises washing all GG products before use.

I do have two from the older batch and those came assembled fro UK reseller so was a bit surprised. There was a weird almost machine oil taste in mine and also at least two other members of our national forum said the same, I did know that it needs to be washed before use so I only noticed the smell before washing not while vaping.
