Well Repent, if you are looking for a NEEDY person...I'm your man :) If not I will just wait for the second run :D
My USPS tracking says my Ody is "Out for Delivery". Sweet!! Mailman doesn't come until 4-430PM so I have to wait until then. This is another one of those times when I wish I was at the beginning of my postman's route and not the end.

I may also have an "extra" Odysseus that I will let go to a family member here on GG. I had already ordered my Odysseus' when I found out that the samples were still going to be sent out. Didn't want to miss out so I stalked COV and got my order in right after Bruce posted them. I'm a cautious fellow in that way.

Anyway my over ordering will now be someone's belated Christmas present. I know there were several regular family members here who missed out on the Odysseus.

Some of the names of folks first on my mind who I had been talking to about Ody were: Ace73, Rick45, Major, Fright, Blackwater, Torqueguy, Vapor, Poppa, Chaos, and a few others. I haven't read alot of forums these last several days what with the holiday and all. A quick peek at the forum here and it seems all these folks already have at least one Odysseus either on hand or in-bound. Don't know about Major for sure. I read that he didn't get one but he recently may have?

Anyway, barring some weirdness with my orders where they aren't complete, I'll have a complete Odysseus to offer.

Since the first run is gone, and many have been talking very highly of Odysseus, I should be able to at least double my money for the Odysseus, right? LOL. Inside joke. Odysseus will sell for regular price. ;)

i think the biggest problem with the taste is a chemical residue thats in the oddy from new(milling oil or whatever). i built mine and quickly discarded and cleaned the whole thing. it reduced the chemical taste dramatically. but was still there. i took it completly apart a second time and gave the ceramic and its cup a good alcohol bath, rinsed, dried and it was gone completely. try this guys.

I cleaned mine with a q-tip and then put everything in the ultrasonic in alcohol and ran for 20 minutes. Rinsed, dried, loaded it up with the stock wick and it_is_AWESOME. The flavor is excellent. The vapor is incredible.

I could not imagine how it could be better than the Iatty, but it is.

What impresses me most is everything. The design, fit, finish, and function are all pretty much perfect. I can't wait for the add'l parts so I can utilize it to it's full capacity.

sorry Fright I missed the second half of your question. I chose the flat file over the dremel, because it's easier to reference a flat surface against another flat surface. The goal is not to change the shape, just the width of the channel. I'm good with a dremel, and I'm pretty sure I would bugger it up. the file removes less material in a slower method, much less chance of having a "whoops!... Oh $#!&" moment. It is actually a very small amount of material that you have to remove, It would VERY easily be over done with the dremel. ;)

Pretty sure someone will do it anyway, and I hope they don't make a mistake. I'd rather be patient and get the right tool for the job, than bugger it up and be sorry for a long time ;)

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Capt! Call the bastages! Haunt them until they cry uncle! I do know from repeated screw-ups by the USPS that if you hit them fast and hard, they will respond. And on a limited production item such as this it is well worth the battle for them to be forced to find and recover it!
After approx. 4 hours worth of raising hell, somebody actually located my Ody before it was delivered God knows where. I shal have it tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm on duty for 24hrs tomorrow. Maybe thursday.

Man, that is awesome! I cannot wait. I guess a dirty Odysseus is the small price we have to pay for Imeo to get them to us ASAP. Well, at least I have some extra wick on the way, haha.

Sounds good thanks for the advice. I will pick up some files before I try to modify

I'll probably be attempting this tomorrow so just making sure I understand correctly... So you only adjusted the wdith of the channel and not the actual depth, right? And any depth adjustments on the top of the ceramic where the coil sits?

Thanks.

Yes, you have it correct. You only need to adjust the width, you can leave the depth alone. I treated the top, just as I did the sides. I just adjusted the width, I didn't make them any deeper. the overall shape you don't want to change, just the sides all the way around :) If you (or anyone else) has a question about this, ask before you attempt something you are unsure of ;) I'll do my best to walk you through it. I will try and get pictures up super soon, I promise!

Sacred, That's exactly where I went today LOL, Don't forget to grab a box of their assorted metric O rings while your there ;)

I of course, went for Orings, and the diamond files... I left with Orings (SAE and Metric), diamond needle files, regular needle files, a new 100' 3/8" Goodyear compressor hose, and a $5 multimeter... I went for $16 worth of stuff and left with $80 worth of stuff... typical... don't leave me, a credit card, alone for 15mins in a tool store

The adapter that'll let you use it in your UFS isn't out yet, Poppa. Right now it's only usable in the Ody tank... or as a dripping atty, though I've tried it and it doesn't work to well like that. Too gurgly.
Has anyone tried using the Odysseus in their UFS yet? It doesnt fit inside of my V1 UFS.

Awesome that the Odysseus has arrived! Hope everyone gets their order fast!
Just for the record, I only included the new wick that Imeo sent with the product. The E2 wick was sold out before the order came in.
Hope you all enjoy it! I am loving mine at 6v with a 3 ohm coil. Thanks again, Imeo!
Bruce,

The ONLY reason I'm going into work tomorrow is because my Odysseus is sitting on my desk. Sigh...

Thanks to both of you for being so efficient. I Guess Ill take friday off instead ;)

The key good results and keeping the sides parallel:
Light pressure
Let the file do the work
"Cut" in one direction only

Watch the edges of the files if they have teeth/abrasive
