you never annoy me my dear, no worries. But I am just curious to see those bases you received. Its so weird that you got 2 bases that dont work!

The problem is on 510 threads, on the threads where the base screws on body or on the threads where the rebuildable part screws?

the problem is on the inside threads where the rebuildable unit screws in. It starts to screw in, and about halfway it gets really rough and tight and I cant get enough of the center pin to go past the opening so it makes contact to fire.

Like I said the inside of the threads are really rough, and burred. Even the outside is not as smooth and shiny like your usual finish. Inside also you can see scratches like it was scratched up with a screw driver.

All those things I could deal with because things can be buffed out but not being able to seat the rebuildable unit in correctly and the first one being dented on the 510 threads are not fixable for me.

This is a photo of the first base I got, I have to take photos of the second one, but basically the same except the dent on the 510 connection, but rougher threads.

Ive had my odysseus for awhile and just used it for the first time. (been using penelope). anyway it seems I am missing a top oring because my juice pours out of the top once I fill it. If I am missing one where would I get it?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. It seems that orings are never in stock, anyone know a good place to get replacement rings for oddy, penelope, and SSTS?

LOL, after I posted that I was thinking, that I might end up giving away things that might become unavailable someday. But heck things like o-rings that I can order on ebay or amazon are no big deal. The next pre-order of Ody parts, Im going to order some back ups of important things. Thats why when I saw the 510 base available I jumped on it. I just wonder if there is even a 510 base instock somewhere to replace the imperfect ones.

They came from a genuine certified GG reseller.

I would even like to see if someone with machine equipment could adjust the inner diameter of the inner threads just a hair so I can screw in the rebuildable part. If someone is gifted Id gladly send the parts in to let them have a go at them.

WOW, All I can say is WOW. First let me start off by saying I love GG products. I have been running a Penny for quite a long time now and it has been my primary vape since I got it. I picked up an Ithaka from the classies a little over a month ago and it soon took the spot for my main device, primarily because of capacity and ability to use dual coils. I never really thought about putting duals in my penny because of the size, I didnt think there was enough room for my chubby fingers.

Recently, thanks to Rivernut, I finally got the Ody I have always wanted. I got it mainly to complete the set, with no real intent to have it as my primary. After all, I already had the Beautiful Penny and the hard hitting Ithaka. I figured I would use it as my "test bed" for new juices and the occasional coil experiment.

Well, let me tell you. I started using the ribbon kanthal about a month ago and I really like how easy it is to work with (I use a wire welder). And last night around Midnight I got a wild hair to see if I could run a dual ribbon coil in my Ody. To be honest, I didnt think there would be enough room, but I couldn't sleep anyways so I figured I would give it a shot. After all, I wanted to use this thing for testing. I was not preparred for the result.

Sorry I didnt get before pictures, but I really didnt think it would work this well!!!

1.4 Ohm each, .75 Ohm total on 3.5mm silica at coil, 3mm silica in channels. As soon as I took the first hit I thought "I should take a picture of this" but I couldn't bring myself to tear it down (hence the dark spots on the coil). I have already run a tank through it in the short amount of time it has been up.

Simply Amazing!!!!

Edit: I cant wait for my next rebuild of my Penny, I will take pictures of that one. :)
