You don't need to braid them, just coil the wick and fit the wick in the slots.
Thanks Poppa. Someone else suggested doing that before but I'm not clear on what to do after I un-braid it. Do I just use a few loose strands or do I try to somehow braid them? Thanks.

but I don't like the flavor it provides so much. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible, it's just not as clean tasting as I would prefer with more delicate juice flavors. It does taste fine with stronger tobacco juices.
funny...I thought it was me!
I thought it was just the juice I put in there and it had morphed into a slightly different flavor. It seems to be going away

I'd like to say a big thanks to Tim, our Aussie distributor. Due to a real nasty accident with an angle grinder at work (it nearly took my thumb before running amok up the inside of my wrist and forearm) the day before I was due to go on holidays leaving me without my holiday pay due to going back to a 2 week pay cycle on workers comp, naturally when the pre-orders went up I was devastated by the timing of it, knowing they'd all be gone before I could claim one.
I fired an email off to Tim explaining my situation and he very kindly made an exception and put one aside for me, something that I was hoping for but not expecting, it really made my Christmas :) I can't wait to try it next week, you've really done a fantastic job on this one Imeo, the only thing I want now is the VV module and I'll have my ultimate pv ;)

I thought it was me too :)

Overall, i thought this was much easier to assemble than the IAtty.

But, I do think i'm getting a slightly "soapy" type taste. Also, i think the vapor might be slightly "harsher." I'll try lowering my voltage. (currently 3.7 on a 1.7 coil)

Sounds like we need to start talkin about the best wick all over again lol

Ok..i just used my old Iatty stuff, and everything seems much better. I think that wick that came with ODY is the culprit.

This thing is vaping like a champ now...

It's official. The usps lost my ody.

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Capt! Call the bastages! Haunt them until they cry uncle! I do know from repeated screw-ups by the USPS that if you hit them fast and hard, they will respond. And on a limited production item such as this it is well worth the battle for them to be forced to find and recover it!

My USPS tracking says my Ody is "Out for Delivery". Sweet!! Mailman doesn't come until 4-430PM so I have to wait until then. This is another one of those times when I wish I was at the beginning of my postman's route and not the end.

I may also have an "extra" Odysseus that I will let go to a family member here on GG. I had already ordered my Odysseus' when I found out that the samples were still going to be sent out. Didn't want to miss out so I stalked COV and got my order in right after Bruce posted them. I'm a cautious fellow in that way.

Anyway my over ordering will now be someone's belated Christmas present. I know there were several regular family members here who missed out on the Odysseus.

Some of the names of folks first on my mind who I had been talking to about Ody were: Ace73, Rick45, Major, Fright, Blackwater, Torqueguy, Vapor, Poppa, Chaos, and a few others. I haven't read alot of forums these last several days what with the holiday and all. A quick peek at the forum here and it seems all these folks already have at least one Odysseus either on hand or in-bound. Don't know about Major for sure. I read that he didn't get one but he recently may have?

Anyway, barring some weirdness with my orders where they aren't complete, I'll have a complete Odysseus to offer.

Since the first run is gone, and many have been talking very highly of Odysseus, I should be able to at least double my money for the Odysseus, right? LOL. Inside joke. Odysseus will sell for regular price. ;)

Chris aka "Repent"

Thank you Repent my good friend. Yes I managed to get one so I am good. I am sure that there is a lucky soul who will benefit from your generosity in offering it at cost though.

This is what we mean when we speak of the GG "family". Yes we are online personalities with a common interest but the type of user that Imeo attracts are those who are into the sharing and caring. And for those that don't get the conceot of the GG family yet, just hang around these guys for a while.

I can't think of a better descriptor than "family" for the way things are done here. :)

Would it be in my best interest to get some iAtty wick from COV now? My Odys are coming tomorrow.

1 meter comes with it, try it, see if you want a bunch more.

I find the flavor is very pronounced so far, as I had expected. Lots of vapor. I'm using COV wick.

There is a definite flavor change.

The air flow is dramatically increased, the air/control tank is a must to create more draw.

To make it clear the wick from the wick store is the wick that came with the iatty and COV no longer sells it. Bruce now sells the ce2 wick. I had a funny taste with the ce2 wick when I first got it gave it a quick dry burn with a torch and it went away. In my experience any ceramic wick I have used requires a nice dry burn for the flavor to shine, don't know about the new wick so I can't comment on it yet. And in my opinion I believe I liked the wick from the wick store the best but it didn't last as long.

Thank you Poppa!

It took some time and a little bit of fiddling... But we are officially in business! :toast:

ODY with XC-116 wick and a 1.3 ohm coil... Rocking my world

For the next one, I think I'll use an extra strand to make it just a little bit thicker. But I'm happy with the first attempt, I think it turned out pretty good.
