Buddy, don't even sweat it -- I don't have the time for it right now and if I have to mod anything for it I'm S.O.L., that's just the way it is, I don't do the dremel well.........I may try it soon, I'll withhold all further comment, I should never come out of the cave! I rarely come into the subforum anymore since I have little to add like I used to.........

Maybe its the wick you use Julius. Maybe you push it hard inside slots and you lose its ability to wick in the right way. CE2 wick works wonderful inside Odysseus. Havent you tried the wick that comes with Odysseus yet?

Hey Imeo, thanks already for you response, its very nice if the actual builder answers your questions And of course i hope you had some good holiday-days and im already wishing you a good new year ;-)

But what i couldn solve yet is the thing with the taste, its as i said like a 510 running almost dry, when i drip its better so i guess there isnt enough liquid there but i fully opened the LC and i varied juice until i got about 40%Water in my VG juice but still the same problem. Its already better now because im using 2xGlass fibre (was difficult to put it in there, but it was worth it)

No Problem, give me the link i gonna order for my lifetime its sure that i wont give my ody away ;-) Just kidding, but thought it was from wickstore, actually its the best wick ive ever used, before it was the wick from bulli-smoker that was the best to me but the ody-wick is way way better has way way less glass fibre taste.

Anyone already tried some kind of ESS/Wickless mods? I know about the aborted try of imeo with the wickless method.

By the way, i have a quite provisorial not perfect video on how to rebuild the atomizer of the odysseus. Its actually in 1080p. Its not very good, theres a problem with the video and audio but anyways i allowed everyone to see it because i think it could help people who just received their Odysseus (and because i got a lot of PM.. Usually i dont upload a video if im not happy with it..)

Ripple, the Ody doesn't need to be modded. Para and a very few others have done so because they wanted to use the thicker wick, but the vast majority of us are using it very happily without any modifications at all, with the wick that came with it.

I don't think they intended to give the impression that it absolutely has to be done, but I'm afraid that some potential buyers may get confused, and turned off at the prospect of the Ody, thinking that its not ready to use out of the box. I might not buy it if I thought I had to take a dremel to it in order to use it. IMHO, the uber-thorough cleaning is all that needs to be done right out of the box. Then just get the hang of the atty build and vape happily ever after

Of course I never said it NEEDED to be modded; nor have I ever encouraged anyone to mod a GG device. If anyone got that impression that's their problem because I simply share my experiences and let folks make up their own mind. I find her post offensive......

Hey, i only used the wick that was delivered as i said so far the best wick ive ever used but i got some taste issues that are maybe due to not enough liquid flow. I got the feeling that actually 2mm of the wick cant hold enough liquid so i get a kinda "almost running dry" taste, its not burnt at all as i said but its not 100% the real taste of the liquid. Taste is like popcorn. Im vaping strawberry by TPA and normally its just fruity/strawberry but now its strawberry/popcorn like.

And now i tried to put 2x 2mm Glasffibre in the slots and made a wick (of course the wick that came with the Ody) and now its better but not perfect. I thought you maybe had some special knowledge and could give me a hint

Right from the man himself and already working on making a few problems right. Don't get no better than that!

Heating the cup till red is the best remedy I have seen so far. There will be no traces of anything on it after that.

I, along with like 5 other people here are simply trying to reiterate that the Ody works as shipped. If you read what I wrote, I even defended you saying you didn't mean to give the impression it needed to be modded. No reason to get all huffy.

As for the o-ring under the pin, if you see that its big and when you screw the pin against the ceramic you see something like a boob on it or if it get damaged after months, you can use a smaller o-ring or a thin plastic. This o-ring is only to separate poles. So a plastic with a hole on its center and about 0,5mm fat is ok too. You can also put a piece of paper if its urgent or a thin piece of wood. Anything will do the job if your o-ring get damaged.

I received in an Ody with the smaller o-ring on the pole (just under ceramic) and one with the same size o-ring on the pole. Both seal well and no leaks thus far. I have spares for both sizes.

Not "improving" the Ody; it's just fine like it is. I simply enjoy trying new and different options and right now I'm vaping a double (standard) wick @ 2.1.

What I did was get very familiar with the standard package and THEN branch out to other combos. Enjoy the Ody how it came and then later, when Imeo has extra ceramics in stock and if you want to give a modded one a go, let me know and I'll fix one up for you.

Para I dont understand why my post is offensive, but if it was offensive to you I apologize, it was never intended to you. You have being of much help for me. And Im not in any possible way against the mods or modders, I love to mod too.

My intentions were because I could see people starting to say "Why buy the Ody when it needs to be modded to work perfect". I dont want to see that.
