Got my stuff today and put it in big mode 510 on a GGTS. Getting a small airflow through it when the air CR is closed (and the juice control is closed as well)...normal or did I miss something somewhere?

Also, when screwing in the small piece with o-ring into the mouthpiece, I had to take it back out due to the o-ring shifting...a very small ring of metal came out of the mouthpiece. Extra piece from fabrication or something necessary?

Thanks in advance!

If you have to put effort to get this airflow, with CR closed, it's normal.

There are no very small metal parts in Odysseus. If you have two metal rings with your new kit (one like that we use to secure the ceramic container to the base and one smaller) then it's from fabrication.

Generally, the instructions are to clean the parts with an tooth brash, water and soap, before the first use (especially the threads), but sometimes you can't wait any longer, you have to start right away... :)

I'm interested in your findings since I'm away from home, give it a go, and post.

All right, I emptied the tank and tried it... Yes, the mouthpiece does unscrew from the ceramic housing.

However, I don't see it being a problem for anyone. I got 16 half-turns or 8 full turns before it detached. And because the bottom of the mouthpiece is sitting higher now on the ceramic housing in the closed position, you will find yourself not opening it as much as you did before.

Using nextel, I used to have the juice control open all the way with the 510 ODY base. I think it was about 12 half-turns. Now with the new base I find myself not going past 6-7 half-turns otherwise it starts flooding a little. So I don't think I will ever find myself unscrewing it too much where it would unscrew all the way.

My experience is the same as your! I barely have to open mine anymore, maybe 2 turns at the most. Should make the bottom of the tank disappear just as well as the when the tank is full :) Anyone worried about it unscrewing completely could slide an appropriately sized Oring over the mouthpiece, Might take a couple to make up the difference in space, but should prevent that from happening. I will give this a shot when my tank is empty, tomorrow :)

This thing vapes WAY better without the crappy 901-510 connector! Feeds much better with the substantial amount of liquid above the coil too :) Big mode is AWESOME!

Yep, that was the first thing I noticed, too! I had no idea how much I disliked using adapters until today. And it seems more responsive as well.

Surprisingly so! Amazing how one crappy little Chinese part can actually warp the whole experience. Just goes to show the difference between a well thought out tool, and one that is made purely with profit in mind ;)

Reminds me why I buy GG's and artisan made tools! Long live Imeo!!! Long live GG!!! Long live the master's of their crafts!!!

You could stack some o rings on the top of the mouthpiece neck to stop it from going so far.
