I've one beef to make. The rarity of spare parts. I've a GG stealth and have been waiting and waiting for expansion parts to make GGTS.

Still waiting.

My GG blew fuse with shorted COV twin coil atomizer. No fuse springs in stock. mod unusable. Fortunately I bought a Provari in frustration and therefore still have something to vape otherwise I'd have had to use a EGO

Springs on order (limit two !!) . Not arrived yet .

Imeo is a nice guy with lots of great ideas. My iatty2 leaks. Yes I watched the video. Yes I adjusted the o ring correctly. No the ceramic isn't cracked. No I haven't used twin wicks and will as soon as I get around to it.

I don't mind tinkering. I DO mind having poor spare part availability. The fuse springs should never be out of stock as the mod is dead otherwise. The expansion parts should be available.

Meanwhile I'm enjoying my Provari vaping at variable voltage with my i06 atomizer and my theecig glass drip tip.

Capt Steve your the man dude thats a hell of an offer I got a lil misty in my eye...

I have been GG for 6 months and some change now... I started with GGTS so once I found Draw Control no other mod would do... some other mods have TS feature no names mentioned but no Draw Control... and the slight increase in price between said other mod & GGTS you get what you pay for...

Then I got a hold of an iAtty at a great price from a great seller and was in love had found perfection in a vape device a total game changer.... and then comes a UFS... a beautiful device but it was too late as I was now too spoiled by my iAtty and my lonely UFS went to a new happy home where it wouldnt be jealous of my iAtty anymore....

Then came ODY oh my boy ODY my 1st was lost by MrMailman who after 2 weeks of case numbers and 3 or 4 different departments was basically told so sorry Foff to you should of had it insured... but alas my Knight in Shimmering GG Armor Mr.Bruce gives me his own personal Odysseus and I rejoiced... and now Imeo gives us another present a New GGTS/Ody base this is amazing I will never again concern myself with a 510 connection be gone 510 connection.... and I again rejoice as this has eliminated the need for 510 adapters that short out and kill my AW IMR stacked 18350... stupid adapters....

anyway now that I have found perfection in connection using GGTS/Ody base and short & med mode ODY its exactly what I want and need from a PV and more.... so then it was bye bye to the iAtty because well it was a 510 connection and needed adapters so it went to live in Laguna Beach... and I would wait for my chance to get a 2nd ODY even bought a 2nd GGTS/ODY base just to get it while it was there and a couple spare ceramics because as you know with anything GG its get it while its there or be a sad panda later...

Well recently a magical day came where it was GG Christmas all over again with all kinds of wonderful parts for all kinds of GG stuff... and alas a 2nd ODY was born and is on its way as I type this story to you nice ECF Folks reading this dribble... again with special thanks to Bruce and Imeo for making it possible...

but now we come to this New Chick Penelope and her Proteus so she already has a boyfriend so this is blasphemy you say... some lil skinny broad gonna be strutting round here with some new seduction method make me spend all my money on her and leave me wanting more... I wont have it you say I want to buy a boat and retire one day live in Hawaii or something and sell sea shells by the sea shore...

but my friend dont you see whether you choose to buy the latest greatest GG or the first and discontinued its still cheaper than smoking as my habit was costing me on average $300 a month pack and a half a day... Now also keep in mind that I was able to sell my iAtty & UFS here on the classifieds for exactly what I paid for it in less than a day so one could easily say GG products hold their resale value extremely well.... and lastly please note that my overall investment to have 2 GGTS one as a daily and the other in case of emergency... 2 ODY's and spare parts for the GGTS & ODY... I would guess I have about a grand invested in my GG gear... keep in mind GG is all I have or will use draw control is king... now this very gear has kept me from cigs for 6 months... so if we figure 300x6 we get $1800.00 saved not smoking cigs so the way I see it Im ahead $800.00... holy cow I have incredible news I just saved a boatload of cash switching to GG from Camel....

and lastly I just have to say its GG and there isnt any other mod I have come across thats a true piece of multi-functional art like the GG products and draw control kicks booty....... now there are other reasons why I like my ODY better than the iAtty other than the 510 connection like juice control and lack of plastic bits and bigger ceramics... now this Penelope and her Proteus may be the cats meow keeping it ECF PG but I love my set-up now... Imeo has satisfied me he can check me off the list...

so really the bottom line is nowhere else does anything else out there at this very moment in time have the quality, the functionality, or the family support system that GG has with a LIFETIME WARRANTY and soon Imeo will be teaching his daughter to run the GG Empire.... so really again you get what you pay for and then some with a GG...

My Ody and I have a love hate relationship. Much like every girlfriend I've ever had lol. When it is good boy is it ever. When it is bad I get rivers of juice running down my hands.

That is exactly my point sir. For $300-$400 you have to expect a 100% perfect and amazing vaping unit I never said I use or want cheap china made things. The point is I buy a ody for $400 soon after imeo notices smaller improves and comes out discontinuous one item and releases a newer version.

I just don't like it and it should not be like that. This way I personally (again ME) don't even feel confident with a purchase I make because I have to fear that a better and improved version will come 3 month later.

I also never ever said I don't trust imeo nor his products I also never said I compare any of his items with China made product the only thing I said was what I mentioned above.

Although it has been mentioned in another post, the words "for Advanced Users" maybe should be worded a bit differently. I know you have a ton of experience with many devices so I would say you are advanced for sure. In all honesty, maybe instead of Advanced User it should read more along the lines of those having the willingness, time and patience to learn how that particular device is best utilized.

I know for a fact that Imeo will not ship an item he cannot confidently say that it works as he intended it to. No, I am not calling anyone slow or unintelligent here - Just saying that these same units that we (and yes, I too have had them) use don't leak when Imeo has the same unit in hand.

I know for me, it usually takes a while to get the feel for the design of the device as I am not mechanically inclined in the slightest. But again, I do know that if Imeo built a device that leaked on him, he would not sell it or ship it - period - dot - exclamation point. That said, I'll have to disagree with the assessment that the Ody is flawed as a device. Can it be improved on? Apparently Imeo thinks so ro he wouldn't be making changes.

In my many months here, I have only heard him say of one product that was "complete" to him and that is the GGTS in its current form. And as for the new every three months, I'll have to go ahead and say something I sincerely hope does not offend anyone: The GG "lifestyle" isn't for everyone. For the most part, those of us that are primarily or even entirely full time GG users, we have come to understand that Imeo is rarely satisfied with his devices. But his lack of satisfaction doesn't mean a device is flawed - merely that he has ideas to make it function better.

I know, I mentioned the GGTS as complete but that is a rarity in the GG line. For reasons of maintaining direct control of all phases of the GG line, Imeo will not contract out any of the work or assembly of his products. That obviously means there will be fewer items produced but of greater quality than the normal PV. It also means that when Imeo was satisfied enough with the first shipment of Odys to send them out that he had already begun to make improvements in the design.

Now absolutely nothing I have said resolves any of your angst and I realize that. Sometimes the facts are not comforting to our desires but they still remain the facts. I know for a fact I am not alone in having missed out on pre-orders of various items and had to hope and wait that more would be made. At the end of the day though, there is one thing about how the GG line is developed.

Imeo is not about profit with the GG line but about making the best devices he can design. There will never be an overstock sale on GG items and unless we are willing to pay a 100% or more mark-up, there are items we simply will not get or not in the timely fashion we desire. It is natural to make analogies to other items but it is not really accurate to compare any mass produced item to the GG as they never have been and never will be in Imeos lifetime, mass production of the GG line.

It's all about creativity and innovation for Imeo. One either has to accept that or tip your hat to him for fighting against the status quo and move on. As for me, having the chance to be a part of the fledgling industry that vaping is in 2012, I wouldn't change a thing. Even if I could go to any reputable dealer and buy any GG item whenever I wanted and as many as I wanted, it wouldn't be the same thing. In our world of instant this and that, the GG is only served up when it is as ready as Imeo can make it at any given time.

Well said Major, well said. I for one will follow Imeo around waiting for his next and next and next. He is always trying to improve and thats fine with me. My Iatty has been improved upon - greatly IMO - but I still have and use it. It is wonderful. So goes the rest of his inventions. I will buy, buy, buy. That's me though.

So, I tried some 30 aWg wire in my ody the other day... It was a bit too hot for my tastes, but others might like it.

My coil of choice is 1.8 to 2.2 ohms made with 32 ga kanthal a

At what voltage? I haven't tried this with the Ody yet, but with my iAtty, I just started vaping my 1.5ohm coil at 6v, for a whopping 24 watts of pure PV power! With the proper wick and coil setup in the Ody, I think I can max out its wattage even higher. In the iAtty, I'm having some issues getting enough juice to the wick. The juice definitely isn't burning in the slightest, I'm talking about huge, HOT, tasty clouds, not burn juice flavor/vapor production. I just need to figure out what system is going to get the most juice possible to the ody coil. Right now, I'm thinking about putting an iAtty ceramic inside of the Ody ceramic, and using it in dripping mode. Other plan is using Ody in UFS mode so that I can both open the UFS juice control and the ody mouthpiece's juice control. I'll keep everyone posted with my results.

My post wont be as long or as elegant. W2Q mentioned that he didnt think it was right to have to buy something every 3 months. However if you used that mentality to our current world most of us wouldn't own a new computer or new cell phone or a new car for that matter as they are constantly evolving within our ever changing world.

I would prefer to use a device where the creator is always listening to his customers and providing them with the latest and best in vaping innovations. I personally have used alot of other rebuildables out there and the ody is by far the best in terms of functionality and ease of use.

Again the gg is not for everyone as it does take some fiddling and does require alot of money in pv terms to use the device(s) as they were intended by the creator.

My offer is still open for you to drive over and try out the ody with the gg and see how it was meant to be.

WOW I stepped in at the wrong time maybe......

But you guys are the ODY gods.

I built my first wick thingy following Scotts' video and was successful...my palm got sore from patting myself on the back ... anyhow the ODY performed brilliantly....best taste and vapor combination I have had to date....thanks Imeo.
Now on day 3 the taste has gone to Beirut and I am at a loss as to why?....I suspect operator error....it's just I am not sure what operation I need to improve upon?

Or do I rebuild every 3 days?....no problem, it's a skill we all should have in our repertoire, sorta like dripping.

Current setup:
Wick and wire, (non-resistance and resistance) are the stock items that ship with the ODY, and I am clueless as to the numbers associated with them.
The wick, when new, wrapped at 2.8 ohms (ProVari)
Currently at 3.0 ohms

It sounds like you have build up on your wick. You can replace the wick and coil. I reuse my coils until they break, but that's just my way of doing it.

Hi Kami,

Ms. T's Snickerdoodle is a pretty thick juice. After three days, I would probably just replace the wick and the coil. The way I see it, both the wick and coil is cheap to replace and I would rather get the best taste and throat hit as possible. Just me.
