Where is everyone getting their oddys from? I thought there were non available at the moment? Damn I must be the only one in this thread who doesn't have an oddy!
Darco, I bought Ody + upgrade around 1 month ago but I have too much work at the moment and also I was scared.. I thought OMG so many pieces I better wait so I do not connect something wrong. ) But it was easy, it took me 10-15 min to collect it all and WOW it's working second day perfectly. :vapor:

I know that I only pop up here when I have a problem but I've been too happily vaping on my Ody and I feel as if the Ody has been praised so much, my praises would be redundant. :D

But.. I'm wondering if anyone is having leaks come from the top cap because mine is. >.<;;

Does anyone have an idea as to why it might be happening?

Edit: I did drop my Ody once when I was first using it and it never leaked back then until now. It only started leaking for the past three or four fills (using short mode). I promise all of the components are in order and I am tightening the top cap as much as possible. Just wondering if it might be an O-ring issue, even though it's intact.

not a big issue kr. Just put a bigger o-ring around the threads of the body. Now you have there a 16/1,5 o-ring. Put a 17/1,5 or even a 18/1,5 and you will be ok:)

So just take out the 16.5 O-ring and put in a 17.5 or 18.5 size O-ring.. I got it Imeo. I will let you know the results. Thank you! :]
I try 17 and 18 x 1.5 mm o-rings. The two seems too work but with the 18 x 1.5 mm the cap is very difficult to unscrew when the ody is hot.
For me the 17 x 1.5 mm is the best choice.

Well, I have just failed miserably at building my Ody

All the time I've had it has been mostly trouble-free, but this last setup was atrocious. I had a short somewhere, so it would intermittently stop firing in mid-hit, then I noticed my hands were sticky and the tank was empty :facepalm: I still haven't figured out what I did wrong, everything looks just fine after tearing it apart

Oh well, my GGTS was due for a cleaning, anyway :laugh:

Just thought I'd share for your collective amusement

EDIT: and I just burned the carto that I switched to after this episode! Hell, I haven't singed a carto in months. Today is just not a good vaping day . . .

Killjoy, I suspect your NR wire which makes contact and is secured to the upper ring was probably making contact somewhere and maybe you cross threaded (by just one thread) your upper ring around the ceramic housing. This ring can easily be cross threaded and if it does you'll get a leak (with thin juice). The best way to avoid it is when you screw it all the way down rotate the base and see if it's flush everywhere. Also make sure when you screw it in your NR wire is not sticking out to make contact anywhere.
