If you plan to make coils 2.5ohm or higher up to 4ohm I suggest you purchase 36g Kanthal A1 as this is much better for larger ohm coils... 32 gage is best used for 0.8ohm to 2.5ohm coils....

2.5 Ohm was where I was aiming, I have a bit of 36ga lying about but wanted to get a larger heated surface area so I went for the 32 and succeeded no problem. I'm always building coils, have 7 rebuildables, so I've got the hang of how much wire gives a particular resistance, without a multimeter. Anyway, I digress, I used some 1.5mm wick from vapoligy, 2 pieces running down the channels and two pieces cut flush with the sides. 5 turns gave me 2.5 Ohms on the money. 2 and a half full turns on the flow control, vaping at 5.0V. Much stronger flavour than last time, more vapour per watt. A far more satisfying vape, not to say it was bad before. :)

Missed the sale on the pre-mades myself but was able to pick up a GGTS base this morning. I've got the pre-mades that came with the Penelope and Ody so hopefully I can make due until the next batch arrives. Just in case you missed out on any supplies be sure to sign-up for notification and if you missed out sign up again.

Did a bit of fiddling around with Ody drip mode, thats a dual coil with two .20 kanthal coils parallel, after getting them on place needed little bit of pushing them around to make sure they don't connect and then it pretty much works :D Takes a lot of drain from the battery, being 1ohm dual coil....

Are you sure your juice control is closed. My mouth piece is very stiff and sometimes feels closed when it is not.

I've had the same issue and all I do is leave the juice control closed and tilt at an almost 90 degree angle and vape it for a bit and the issue is resolved....perhaps not a fix but a bandage though this is my first day with it.....thinking perhaps my wick needs replaced but it's still works well enough with the 90 tilt....coil still ohms out at 1.6 so figure mines a wicking issue....other thoughts I'm open to.....

ok figured the sucker out, the rebuildable piece on the bottom, the center post had come loose from the cermic, thats where the juice was leaking and the extra air was coming fromi took the whole thing apart cleaned it up and put everythign back together.

so for others having this problem check out the center post and make sure its nice and tight :)

I just received my new Odysseus a week ago. I built the atty following Pete Busardos video. The first attempt was a failure using his 3 wick design. I dropped it down to a 2 wick and it works great.
I'm trying to find material to build the atties. I bought a roll of kanthal A-1 32 awg wire off of eBay. Is this wire going to be my No Resistance wire? Do I need a resistance wire? If so where do I find the resistance wire? And a supplier for the wick as well.
I'm totally new at this and would appreciate any help.

Hi,

The wire you already bought is your resistance wire.

The non resistance wire you want is called pure silver. it has to be called Pure silver since its 999 pure silver.

ebay pure silver 40 feet for 11 bucks each
http://www.ebay.com/itm/40ft-Pure-Fi...item3a6f9b0b77

Noobking got there faster. Hahaha!
Cheers
