I've been using the ody large mode. And it constantly leaks out of the bottom. I've tried everything. Once the tank gets about half way. It just gurgles. I have to close it. vape till no juice then open it up a little bit and I only get about two or three hits before it starts to gurgle again. Everything is tight. I USd to think it was the bottom nut on the rebuildable piece getting loose. But the last two times I checked and it had stayed nice and tight. Only way I can get it to go for a little while is cleaning it out. And refilling. Every time. And then again. It'd only good till about half way. Then gurgling. Any thoughts would help.

I had almost same. I made the wick too long .. some of it was under the bottom nut. Shorter wicks and it was ok

The most common cause of leaking that I have found is the wick itself... what I mean it that the wick isnt acting like a dam to stop the flow of liquid thru the channels and down the center pin... this is usually caused by coil wires creating a gap between the wick and the channel allowing the juice to flow freely down to your center pin...

Agreed 110% with what you said!!! Not even a drop of leakage since I take care when making a new coil and avoid the gap between the wick and the channel.

Well, Im gonna give this a gurgling thing a shot. Just my 2 cents.

It could be 2 things.. like MrKinkle said. Gap in the channels.

And another would be difference in pressure in the Ody. << For this, try flipping your ody upside down, open up your feed control for a few seconds (While the ody is upside down) and close it.. this releases the build up pressure thru the channels. Vape it till it doesn't gurgle and try it again.
It could be that, because of the big air gap in the ody itself... and we all know Vaping creates heat and it heats up the mouthpiece.. with more Air in the ody it actually has more exposed metal that can heat things up even faster thus building up pressure... which could explain why this happens when you are half done with the tank.

** just a theory that came up that makes some sense to me.

P.S: I personally do the flip and release thing every time i refill my ody. Never had gurgling since.

Edit: Didn't realised someone pointed out the Air Pressure already. But it still is my 2 cents worth of advice here. :)

Hello GG guys. Could anyone tell me what the wait on an ody iatty2 would look like? I don't care about the price I know in life you get what you pay for and so far can see that GG has a huge following for a reason. Does anyone know anyone getting rid of one? If not does anyone have any info on an equivalent. Thanks for the help.

Perhaps I phrased that wrong. I meant I know why higher quality tools cost more. My Mac tools are my babies while I pound on my craftsman like there is no tomorrow. Gibson guitars are expensive but that is because they are made better than an Epiphone. I do want an ody, was also looking at cobras and such. Was trying to get your guy's take on any comparable tanks. I want something that will last a couple years or more. Thank you for the response though much appreciated.

I am guessing 2-3 months before next production is complete.

gibson has really gone downhill, people are just paying for the name now, i have a new gibson trad pro and a 1981 gibson standard, the build quality on the norlin is 100% better than the new one, i also have a 2005 korean epiphone and it's my favorite guitar, although i have about 700 in mods done to it, sounds better than the new gibson

I agree on everything BUT theres nothing wrong with a Epiphone too ;)

Check the classifieds my friend, i see then a lot with a lot of wick and wire included at a good price, even same as retail or a little more plus you get a few extras.

Found a GG ody v2! It'll be on its way tomorrow. I'm going to use my sellers suggestion and start out with the ready wire too. You're right nothing wrong with an Epi. I've been out of the guitar game for a while and my old Gibson Studio was of uber quality. I had friends come by that knew how to play way better than me and they'd try and sneak off with it lol.

That sucks I wonder what happened... Gibson used to be one of the best. The old ones are supposed to be legendary. I saw a 1950s LP going for over a quarter million.

Guess I don't read carefully, but I just noticed COV suggest burning the wick 10-15 secs with a blue flame to eliminate bad taste.

Does anyone do this? If so, do you do this before you wind your coils or after? And do you do the full length of silica wick or just where the coils are?

Thanks! :)

I never had a bad taste from the 3mm. I do get my resistance wire red hot with a lighter before I wrap my coil because I get a nasty metallic taste for a while if I don't. I wouldn't bother with torching the wick though unless you get a bad taste. If you do, you may as well torch the whole length of the wick before you wrap your coil.
