Sorry I keep adding photos of my Odysseus but I am so happy to be able to use my drip tips on them. I thank Imeo for making this dream come true

wrapped a 1.1 ohm coil using 30awg earlier in the week and i have already noticed a decline i vapor production and flavor. it has been a while since i had used or rebuilt my ody since i have been using mostly gennies for the better part of the last year. i vaped maybe 15ml of 100%vg juice in the tank. seems like a very short lasting coil. on average (mls. or time), how long before you folks rebuild?

i was excited to get some NR wire so i could get back to rebuilding my ody and pen to sharpen my skills for ithaka.

does 100% vg cause the wicks to be necessarily rebuilt sooner than when compared to pg blends?

any feedback would be great!

It all depends on your juice . I have some juices that gunk up my wicks and coils by the end of tankful. Others perform perfectly even after a week of refilling.

Tobaccos, especially naturally extracted ones will make your performance decline very quickly. Oh I also found that my pineapple/strawberry also makes my performance decline after 2 tanks. I think its because its a bit sweeter.

I hope that helps a little

Its a well known teqnique patch, so yes you can do it on Ody, Penelope or Ithaka. It will only improve longevity and will reduce the rest
do you think wrapping a tiny piece of oxidized SS mesh around the silica that sits in the ceramic will improve longevity, flavor, or vapor?

A quick search shows that isopropyl is ok to use on polycarbonate.

Not sure of details on the type of polycarbonate used on the tank, though, but this is from one site

Other chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Ethanol have very little effect on the surface of the Polycarbonate. We even recommend that our anti-reflective coatings be sprayed with a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol solution to remove fingerprints.

I don't think alcohol is really necessary for cleaning the plastic window, but hey to each their own :) I wouldn't soak your o-rings in it, though, it will dry them out and shorten their life. Granted, they are cheap to replace, but I prefer to get every bit of life out of them that I can anyway

Yeah I've been just rinsing O rings under water and a quick wipe down on the plastic. The metal pieces soaked in iso for a bit just to lift the juice that has been sitting in there for a while (since I got Ithaka.. Penny has had juice in it sitting around for months) - now I've got em soaking with denture cleaner and I will rinse em and they will be nice and sparkly clean.
I did a stupid thing, though, and I torched my ceramic and forgot about the O ring inside! Woops! I ended up just throwing that ceramic away.. luckily I've got more, and some spare O rings... had a brain fart I guess! Didn't smell too good either.. luckily my girlfriend keeps incense around so that took care of the burnt rubber smell

Poisoning can occur from ingestion, inhalation, or consumption of rubbing alcohol.

I clean mine with vodka.

Did the same thing one time. Melted the 0-ring, but at the time I didnt have a spare, so I torched the heck out of the ceramic and then boiled it. Went to white again, except for a couple little specks of light tan.

Yeah I wasn't sure if there would be a rubber taste to it after that so I figured I would just toss it

Well sure, that's why I don't ingest it
It's inexpensive and evaporates very quickly... I'm not too worried about poisoning.. I'm not in an enclosed room with gallons of it everyday.. using it to clean a couple metal pieces every now and then is ok :)

Right now I'm also using denture cleaner overnight, used that before with good results as well.
