dhd, just watch out for the 510 threading on the vamo. Unless they've improved it, they're pretty soft threads and with some devices it is really easy to cross thread, and the center pin is easy to push down. Other than that, the vamo is a pretty rugged device.

Mopar, any chance you're able to order (or special order) replacement top caps for the vamo? I've only seen them at one online shop (Vamo SS Battery Connector / Top Cap), but I don't feel like ordering from england.

Yes the 510 threads seem a little junky but not as bad as I've had in the past. I will definitely be careful with them! :)

Well that didn't last long..... :(

To no fault of its own, my beloved protank is no more. My vamo and protank took a fall. Got knocked off my kitchen counter. Vamo is fine - protank not! The threads busted off. I was concerned more about the glass!

Still love the vamo though! No so much the finish though. All of the "black" came off. Now its no longer black chrome.... Just plain chrome! :(

I dropped my protank, with the same results :( East Coast Vapes sells the protank base by itself, probably for this reason!

"canvape dose not sell eliquid with nicotine"
Did I do that right? :)

Alrighty,
Iv been out of the loop for awhile.
Last time I was in the loop The Vivi Nova was the flagship. That is all I use.
I noticed this big thing about RBAs and RBAs with tanks?

Is It worth giving it a try? Im happy with the ViVis yet I dont want to miss out on something Better.
Price wise They cost a crap ton more too, With the wicks, wire, and not to mention the RBA itself which is 3 or 4 times the amount of a vivi. Seems like a decent about to work to get it running also.

At this stage of the e-cig development, I personally think that we are in the stage of diminishing returns over the ViVi Nova. I still use my Novas, but my main hardware now is the iClear30. I believe it to be "better" than the Nova, but only a bit. I play around with RBA's, and if I hit the coil right, it too is better, but only by a bit - sometimes a BIG bit depending on the juice and coil, but still just a bit, considering all the playing around.

I found the Novas to be the first clearomizer that really worked and didn't leak - a major improvement. I trusted it in my shirt, pants without having to worry about a mess. It got to the point that I didn't have to think about it anymore, I just trusted it to be a load and go, and to give me a good reliable vape.

Whether moving to a different device is worth a try is up to you. I wouldn't really expect a BIG level of improvement however :)

Have you tried those new vivi nova dual coils? I read they don't fit in the old single coil vivi nova setups but I don't see any new complete nova dual coil tanks on the site - just the heads.
Tempted to try the iclear30 as the novas have been the best I've had (besides yes, some of the RBA's I've done, but it's been hit and miss) but the iclears I hear are impossible to rebuild, I'm thinking the same thing for the new dual coil vivi nova's - not sure if I could rebuild that with my cotton wicks.

Though an improvement with the vivi's in terms of an extra coil sounds nice. Tried the vapeonly mini bcc's and no luck after the rebuild though the original heads were nice, I'm not a fan of the silicia, though in that original set-up the vapor heat was close to on par with the vivi's, so for now sticking with the vivi's but definitley looking for a step-up, really want to hear about the dual coils as there's so little in terms of reviews about them.

Haven't tried the vivi nova dual coils yet, so can't comment on them. Guess they wouldn't fit due to the extra depth needed for dual coils, but if you email Canvape, I'm sure they could tell you. The way this business seems to work, I'm pretty sure they won't fit :D

I got lucky and got into a co-op for iClear30 heads, so I have no intention on trying to rebuild them ... which probably is a good thing :)

The iclear30's may well be impossible to rebuild but rewicking the coil(s) with cotton is pretty easy.
Dryburns are lightning fast too, once the silica wick is removed. Check my blog for how I do it if you like.
