Figures.

Package ships Friday from BC via XpressPost. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Arrives today. (Well, I got carded for an "attempted delivery" that, if it was being honest, should have added "...but was too lazy to carry a big ol' box thirty feet to the building.")

Package ships from Newmarket Thursday night (doesn't move 'til Friday though) via Expedited, supposed to arrive today, still sitting in the Brampton depot.

If Canada Post were a movie, it would be directed by David Lynch, because it doesn't make a damn bit of sense.

Reviews on the firebirds? C'mon people! I don't wanna wait and find out for myself tomorrow!

~cough cough~ there is a science in ordering on last Tuesday :p So i was punchy and the bad sense of humor came out....

FYI: these came in with my ego twist charger, and v510's.....there is a small following for my channel, and i wanted to show it off. So no sooner did i post the video did i see someone asking if ANYONE did a review........odd how that worked out.

Though i tried to look professional *cough yeah right cough* it turned out my bad sense of humor came out.....enjoy ;)

Also have a little secret on the ego twist.......if you set it between 4.0V and 4.2V markers you get a 4.3V. So the twist will go from 3.0V to 4.8V at .1V increments

Here are my thoughts for the day.

Firebirds are Prety darn good! I wouldn't say great since I dunno where the throat hit is going, but the flavor and vapor are awesome and they are not dry vapes like the stardusts! They are super consistent and these are the first and only things that I can vape directly into my lungs and not worry. I do get wicking issues with 70vg/30pg, so then I restrict some airflow and draw more juice into the wicks and vape on. I'm glad I got 2 packs of 5 since I only have 6 new ones now lol. Oh yeah, dont leave one on the couch and put yer hand down on it and crush it. It will launch the drip tip right out the top of it. It is a fun game actually! lol
My voltage recommendation is 3.2-4.2 for this batch I have tried. some can go a bit more but try not to with vg.
On a Evo (low - green setting) = burny for me, :(
On a Vmax - 3.5 was as far as it went before it was leaky out the bottom. It gets too hot and it seems juice leaks when it's hot. not a good vape on pwm with at least these 3 I have tried. 2 of them are on fill 3.
On a ego twist - 3.7-4.1 to make it soar. Any higher and your mileage will vary
On a eigate pink 280mah sealed manual - 808-ego adaptor! this thing is a freakin machine!!!!!!!!!! nice for when yer doing work on the car and you don't have a hand to push the button :)

I am going to try out the 3ml when I mix up some new juice. It seems to have a tight draw which I may like. It makes the 1000mah ego look like a magic wand! lol

Hope you all had a great happy firebirds day! I wish 7-up would bring back : Make 7-UP yours!

3ml firebird = heaven!!!!!

Loaded her up as soon as I walked in the door! Set it up with my run of the mill ego batt and couldn't believe the performance!! Looks DAMN sexy too!! ;)

Next was the ego twist. Unfortunately the one I have is white so the color combo is a little odd, so I will have to pick up a black twist! Even happier with the firebird on the twist! Haven't pushed her much past the 4v mark but I am very happy here!!

Now I thought..... This would ROCK on the lt!! Sadly this is where I stopped. Couldn't get my ego-510 adapter to thread. I might be able to get her to fit but didn't fiddle too much.

I have found the threads to be a little finiky - but that might just be the one I have. Threads on the egos fine though. Other than that, I'm in HEAVEN!!!

Sorry stardust.... I think you may have made it to the "backup" pile! I do find the th is muted a tiny bit vs stardusts but can't even compare with vapor production! CLOUDS! I will be picking up more. One more sad thing I found was the "pen cap" won't fit if I'm using my calabash drip tip :( wonder if a ming would fit? Don't have any of those.... Yet ;)

CANVAPE. Where every order brings joy to my life!

Thank you for the review! This is the first time I have come across anyone saying that these will not work on the Ego's. You just saved me a ton of grief and some money as I was ready to pull the plug on these and order a pack and, of course, all I have in my arsenal is Ego batts. Damn ... however, that said, thanks for posting that review!

It should probably be noted that in all likelihood it's that these won't work on some eGo batteries. Like the Stardust, I had the same issue -- some eGo batteries worked with them (Twist, original Joye 650mAh, etc.), some didn't (Biansi, genuine 1000mAh eGo-T). I've tried analyzing the problem but couldn't come up with a single reason they did or didn't work, at least not from eyeballing it. I'd have to pull out some precision calipers and start measuring diameters and thicknesses and threading to come up with a reasonable answer, but for now it's sort of baffling.

I've got some 1.2 & 3ml Firebirds in my latest Canvape order (which should -- had better -- be here today) so I'll mess around with different devices and see what's what.

Not a problem and as i said, it may or may not work for you? Looking at it more carefully, there is no center post, and pretty much looks the same as the bottom of a 510 to ego adapter, so this will hamper the draw, i have played with it a bit, and if you unscrew it a bit you can get it to fire, thought it may be a bit loose on the ego and flop around. When i put it on what you would call the L-Rider version 2 and it having the spring loaded center pin (and having a small center pin) the draw was a lot smoother, but again it could be like the star dusts where it is hit or miss....on the same token, with no center pin this allows them to be a bottom feeder, and with 100% VG (extreme version from jug heads) i have myself set to 4.2V and it is wicking very smoothly anything over that (on 100% vg) and you will have bad burnt tastes

Just to show you a better comparison on this, i did find a review (not one of mine) and seems a better better;

Right from Steeljan, who says this is the dual coil killer (and i have put aside my tanks and star dust's)

You will see that steeljan has this on a box mod, a 808, and a few other things and she seems to have no issue but is laughing at the names and trying to get them all right

Just got out my 1.5ml Firebird and indeed it works perfectly (vmax at 3.7v).

Anyone know how long these things are supposed to last?

Unfortunately despite the similar design I can't get my Tidy cartomizers (that came with the iTaste) to function correctly. 1st one would not wick at all and the 2nd one leaked horribly (as in entire contents of tank). Going to reasearch them a little more before wasting a 3rd one.

I also bought the 3ml Firebird but have not used it yet. I placed it on my Volt X2 battery just to determine fit and functionality and it works! Adam take note here...I realize you expressed your doubts about that but they do work on the Volt X2.

There is a thread started to try to find a fix for the Tidy

There is no definite fix yet.
