Yeah I read on another vendor's site it would do 6v into a 1.5ohm load. Which means 4 amp. Seems unlikely!

Not necessarily. It's a stacked mod, so it's got 8.4V out of the gate to play with. As long as the switch is designed to handle it, it's not a problem. The VMax can theoretically do 5A.

Maybe I'm just skeptical, but I'm having trouble believing a $50ish (kit) mod can do 4amp when the vmax $100 mod only can do 5? I know you can't compare the two, the vmax has MANY features over the v6. If it can do 4a I'm definitely wanting! Even though for some reason they did the whole low med high power instead of true vv. :(
