Btw, the ego v6 is aka rev3. I'm gonna try one out. The reviews I watched made it look like a pretty good little device. I can also try the ce99 gretzky edition tanks out too lol

Maybe I'm just skeptical, but I'm having trouble believing a $50ish (kit) mod can do 4amp when the vmax $100 mod only can do 5? I know you can't compare the two, the vmax has MANY features over the v6. If it can do 4a I'm definitely wanting! Even though for some reason they did the whole low med high power instead of true vv.
The cost difference between a 3A switch and a 5A switch (or higher) is trivial; the biggest reason manufacturers even put a limit on the amperage is safety concerns so they don't get sued when some dink fries their LR single coil carto (and possibly their lungs) when they try vaping it at 6V and can't understand why it's their own fault. (The other reason is battery life.) But market pressure is on lately for more amps, so more amps we're getting. (I can't complain.
) Besides, mechanical mods have been able to push huge amps since stacking became possible (mechanical switches don't have amp limits) so people have had plenty of time to get used to the idea that they need higher resistance cartos to vape at higher voltages, so it's not really as big a risk for the manufacturers these days.I've read lots of reviews too! Mechanical switches still do have limits. Really any electronic component does. Though 5a load really is not that much. Especially in a pv, since its not a continuous load. One of these days I'd like to rig up an amp meter while vaping and seeing what the inrush current is!

Totally agree with the 2.5 being enough. My vmax rarely leaves 3.0V to 3.4V but it's kind of just nice to know it's there. CE6's on Monday(hopefully) KSD passthrough's and the alien tanks will be here soon as well as kits. Then whatever else comes out on the market
I'm in love with the vivi nova. Hasn't left my vmax in a good week and using 90%vg DIY. Still on the 1'st 1.8ohm coil. Good flavour and powerful vapor! Scared to try another head on it hahah

Well today I had the pleasure of popping in at the 400 market booth while I was in town. My goal was to grab some supplies until Canada Post finds my damn package THEY lost and maybe catch a glimpse of that fantastic computer system they run T.O.M.. No such luck on the technology peek but, I was able to meet "THE" Kevofar, who was just my new best friend when he gifted me a vivi nova!!!! Love this one!! Thanks Kev!! Plus I had lots of free time today (no kidlets) and was able to meet some other fellow ECFers and have a spontaneous vape meet right at the market. Thanks for a fun afternoon guys

Hey Mopar, any thoughts of getting the new smoketech vivi tank rebuildable atomizer? Seems like a very inexpensive option for those wanting to get into a rebuildable tank atomizer. Might be an a idea to look into kanthal and silica wick if you do or ask the smoketech guys for replacment wick/wire setups......just a thought

Hey any chance on getting 5 ohm Single coil cartos in I do believe smoktech makes them as they look like DCT cartos. They are awesome for 7V vaping?? In the meantime need to order some more 2.5 DC cartos atleast I can run them at 6V!! Matter of fact I think I will order them right now and while I'm at it tryb the ViVi Novas! yeah what the hell!!

If I may, I have a request too. I tried a couple 1.7 super shorty cartos from an American supplier. I don't know who makes them, but whoever did should be sainted. And Knighted. Any chance of carrying these?
I'll second the request for the super shorty cartos - they bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "stealth vaping" especially when paired to a SD Keyring.
