V3 (Rebuildable)

V3 is essentially a Pheonix but wicked for dripping (tad more expensive,but comes with a decorative ring to fit on eGo type batts) and lloks pretty good to I`d say.

Try the std setup on the clone,it comes with 2.0 ohms coil and works purty good as is (you might have to adjust the center post,mine came in with the contact way in,just open the top loosen the bottom nut and push the pin in till it protrudes about half a mil..its not perfectly machined but hey...$17!)

A Couple of questions I'm getting ready to place an order but want to make sure I get the right stuff.

The Smoktech 4.5ml 35mm Chrome STUBBY! Tank 2.0ohm SINGLE coil cartomizer Clear With Drip Tip! would it fit the stainless single coil kanger I just converted my wife to tanks but she loves her kangers.

I also need a new 18350 batt for my Knight Rider mini but the flat tops are out of stock would a nipple top bat work in it ?

Looking forward to trying the Nova tanks hopefully since my Boges aren't quite what they used to be. Might try a few single coil smoke cartiges see if they are a suitable replacment.

Thank,

Eric

You will need cartos 35mm long (excluding the connector) for the stubby tank. If it is already punched, the holes or slots will need to be just over 10mm from the bottom (excluding the connector).

Agreed, been playing with the phoenix, and the best setup is ss mesh with cotton stuffed in it. Imo, you get the enhanced flavor from the cotton, and the strength from the mesh.

My order also included the vivi nova metal tanks...omg, the silver on my black SB, while the black tank on my black vmax looks utterly nasty....in the most coolest way.:2cool:

We are going to start shrink wrapping the tops of them some how next week. Had another customer mention it to us that they had some leakage.

i hadsome orders come in from china first when i started vapeing, what they do is melt some cheap hot glue around the stoppers cant loosen and also creates a seal

That's what I thought the kangers are about 34.5 mm and are going on a twist so as long as the slots are cut right or a bit higher I should be good. Was also worried about the diameter Thanks.

A nipple top will work but you won't be able to screw the bottom cap on all the way.

Ill pick some nipple ones my KR is in pretty bad shape heat shrink holing the top cap and my bottom cap is stuck under my laminate floor in my shop.

Thanks mac and keep up the reviews !

Will be pickup up another Ego twist since I think my KR is a bit too banged up to take out in public these days. Thinking of getting 2 Novas tanks and some heads. I'll also pickup up a pack of Smoktech 1.7 single coil see if the are better than the current boges ;(

Ok, every one is all excited about all this new rebuildable stuff that just came in, and I wanna be too. :confused: So what would be good entry level rebuildable stuff to start with?

Easiest thing to rebuild would be a Vivi Nova head! Just need some smaller wick (one 2mm wick or 2x1mm) and some kanthal.....but if that is not fancy enough for ya, I would start with a wick and coil rebuildable as opposed to a Genesis (mesh wick) style, so the Phoenix atty or something of the sort.....my 2 cents :)

I don't care about fancy, I just want easy peasy to start with

The Vivi is good practice for making coils but it wont beat the flavor of a Phoenix I don't think, since you will direct drip onto the Phoenix coil, it is a dripper, that is the only down side. Out of what Canvape stocks I think that would be the easiest.

For the DuD,I use a #29 drill bit,roll a mesh about the same size (you can roll one a tad bigger,always easier to tighten a mesh then make it bigger!) and wrap a coil on the drill bit;

I leave the coil on the bit,insert the bit in the mesh hole,fasten the bottom coil tail,pull tight on the other coil tail and fasten it to the nuts;

I then remove the drill bit slowly,and fire the coil on 3V or on an eGo batt 4-5 times to "season" it in place.

Then I insert the mesh in the coil while twisting it gently.

Now for the mesh prep,its that easy too:

Original DiD: 35heightx35
DuD : 35heightx30

Hold the piece of mesh,torch it twice on both sides
Fold 3~4mm height-wise the start rolling it form the unfolded side...go slowly,dont make it tighter then the drill bit size!
Put the rolled mesh on a small wire,apply PG to it and burn it with a lighter...do this 4-5 times until the wick is dark

Slide the .... in the coil,tilt until you see the wick fill with juice,fire and vape.

120ml. It makes it a bit easier to cut down my DIY base. Right now I've been using a glass oil dropper from the dollar store and don't exactly want to store that in the freezer.

Are you worried because of the glass?
DIY base can be stored in the freezer in glass bottles.

Happy Thanksgiving!
