If it was a $35 mod I would say, suck it up, you were stupid. With a 10x pricier one, not so sure I'd blame the user. You pay so you don't have to use your brain (comfort, ease of use, bulletproof design).
I'm with AMD on this one. RMA it.
Some years ago a friend of mine bought a high end volvo. Shortly after that , he parked the car and when he returned it wouldn't start. He tried everything and nothing. He called the dealer, they sent another car to pick him up and the mech went to check the problem... As it seems, that specific model could only be started if the shift gear was engaged in reverse (or something like that). Although clearly an user error, the dealer apologized several times for not explaining clearly how the system worked (although it was written in the manual who nobody reads anyway).
Above a certain price level, things have to be perfect.

Those are some gorgeous coils kiwi!Just a quick update on the hybrid wires. As mentioned before, I was using 28ga Ni200 drill-twisted with 30ga kanthal, very tightly twisted.
And I FINALLY have a TP-capable coil that vapes well on my r91 (I've been whining to some folks about how the massive coils just make for a harsh and poor vape on atties with smaller airflow like the kayfun or r91
9 wraps around 3/32 to give me 0.16 before wicking, and 0.13 after wicking and juicing.

I've decided to go ahead and pulse fire the guy just to show yall how it looks

The coil is SO MUCH more robust mechanically, so wicking and mounting is back to being dead easy.
Vaping extremely well and im happy. Currently set at 22W, and temp limit of 450F

Welp. Tried 30ga Ni 30ga kanthal twisted. Dual coil. Not so good. I'm not sure if it's just bad connection but I'm jus R having a bad vape. Long heat up time. Switches between TP and normal wattage mode.

I didn't like my 30-30 build either.
Looks like the bottom coil is touching the deck.
Nope it isn't. I always set my heigh so that I can just barely fit a 1/16 drill bit below it

If it doesn't work that way, where does the energy go? To make the math easy, let's say you had a 1.7V DC source. You put a diode with a 0.7V drop in series with a 1 ohm resistor as a load across this source. Your source is putting out 1A at 1.7V -- that's 1.7 watts. The resistor sees 1.0V and therefore dissipates 1.0 watts. So where did the other 0.7 watts go? If it's not being dissipated in the diode, it has vanished. Energy does not vanish.

Me and my Hana shall be reunited once again. Hopefully she wasn't hurt at all![]()
Yeah, me too except one and boy it sucks trying to figure out at 2am on a highway how to lower a spare wheel... Took me an hour until I realised how it worked (first and only pick-up I owned). Looked pretty stupid that nightI've read every owner's manual of every vehicle I've owned![]()

No reason to be embarrassed, I can't t ell you the number of times over the years I've said something with absolute conviction, something that any other day of the week I'd know like the back of my hand yet for whatever reason my brain farted and bam, I look like an idiot. I usually follow it up with "herp de durp" just to I've the cake. Lmao. It happens to all of us!You are correct Rossum, I was totally in error. I would explain my rational but after reading your post the rational behind my previous opinion makes no sense at all. That said I am starting to remember why I hate posting technical responses in forums... It is bad enough to embarrass yourself in the company of a few comrades but in front of thousands (that may think you know what you are talking about) really hurts.![]()
I am going to ignore this post because it is coming from a person that is above human. Because humans do make mistakes sometimes.
