Morning all! As a little kid would say, only 1 more sleep until Friday!

I'm trying to decide what atty will top my Radius. I'm kind of with Willie Z and not sure about going back to paying for coils. Dang, I drove out to Ohio a few weeks ago. It would have been a nice break to pop off the highway, visit Zen (Boston to Cleveland, 10 boring hours in I90) and try one. I like my current RTAs and rba but I'm open to other options. Looking around is fun and will keep me busy until I get shipping confirm.

Thanks to Zen and everyone else for their thoughts on the Kabuki. I was convinced, so I just ordered the P3 version and a set of coils from Provape so that I have something to look at for a month or so while I wait for the Radius. A whole years vaping budget (and then some) spent in less than 24 hours!

Hey Zen,

If'n I get me a Kabuki, I have like 4 boxes of Nautilus BVC coils from when they first came out. They're not the newer organic cotton ones (so I don't even know if I'd want to use them), but if'n I did is there any reason they wouldn't work in the Kabuki?

Wow - I gotta get with the program, as I didn't even know they had organic cotton nautilus coils!

Mine are ancient then!

They do work - it's what I had when I first got my Kabuki. Filled 28 times, still OK but swapped to try a new style one when they arrived. That's been in for nearly 2 months (at least one fill a day) and still going strong. So I reckon I'll need max. 6 coils a year per tank (I do vape unflavoured)

Yep, they took a lot of heat for the unknown wicking material in the original BVC coils. Some postured they were a ceramic something or other and people were afraid they'd be breathing in harmful materials. But when they're wet, there's little to no chance any of the material could become airborn. I was never really concerned about them. I stopped using them because I was tired of buying tank after tank from Nauty that leaked and was poorly made to begin with. I was resolute in my claim of never getting into building no stinking coils. Nope, not me. Nevah, for sure. Then like what we see with Zen's Kabuki, I read all these love poems to all things Kayfun and I finally broke down and bought one. Oh and of course, I bought a zillion other things, like ohm meter, coil building thingamabobs, cotton bacon, kanthal, tools a plenty. And I started building. I've gotten good at it too. Yes I have, but there are times when I have wished someone would make a system that was machined and built like a Kayfun, that made great tasting vapor and didn't require me fussing with electricity. Looks like the Kabuki just may be that top. Yes it just might be........

In contrast, I set my Lemo Drop's airflow once, 10 months ago, and I forgot that it even has an AFC. For those unfamiliar with the Lemo (V1), the AFC's location is similar to the K4's.

Wow you are lucky. I still have an use three of my original Lemos. The AFC is constantly moving. I even put a tight o-ring on the bottom post screw in hopes of holding it in place but it still seems to loosen after a few tanks. That is the one thing that makes the Lemo 2 so much better IMO. I just wish they would make the next gen Lemo with the ability to rebuild without emptying.

Thanks! How would you compare the vape from the older coils to the newer ones? Do you see or taste any difference?

Is anyone else surprised that Phil has not got his hands on a beta version of the Radius to review. With his past relation with Provape and all. He seemed as "in the dark" as most were.

Maybe he has, but just hasn't posted a review yet?

Welp.... I bought one of each of the below. I'll post up pics/etc of how they fit once the Radius comes in. It's gonna feel like a year til the thing comes!

Love Vapesox. Bought one last year for my Provari and another one earlier this year for my box mods.

To be honest I didn't see any difference but I'm not very sensitive to subtle variations. As long as I get the 'fizz' sensation of the nicotine I'm happy.

I'm ready for next Friday, I'm so ready to see the Tesla concert :)

Wow Tesla is still around??? There was a two day concert in NJ last month that had some older bands with newer bands like Clutch, Godsmack, and Slash. Skid Row, King's X, Faster .....cat, Slaughter, LA Guns and Lita Ford were all on the bill.
