Got excited about new Provari, read the thread to get details.
Didn't find any.
Then I remembered this was about Provari.:D

Seriously tho it would be stupid to take part in the power race that is going on currently.
MANY would be happy to get something up to 40 watts that's build to last (as long regulated devices can) w/out anything fancy like blinking lights.
40 watts with TC and option to run unregulated would satisfy me.
With a single 18650..

Agree but its still more than the 8-10 watts a lot of us are using.
No doubt about that. And I sometimes feel the need for that as well, though much less these days....I keep a nautilus on hand for such occasions.

And if provape decided to make their next device only 10 watts, I wouldn't speak I'll of them for it...and I would still say I wish for one that suits me ;)

I've PIF'd many mods that were great tootle puff mods in their own right, just because they wound up sitting un used.....when I do end up using lower watts, every mod I currently use will buck low enough. What I need, is a bomb proof mod that meets that range requirements. Provari meets the bomb proof part...still waiting on the wattage.

Oh, I do my part lobbying, believe that!

The deference here is where Zen said X item won't be made any more, provape hasn't said they will never make a mod like what I and others hope for (though plenty of others feel the need to make that claim for them), so I see absolutely nothing wrong with stating what I hope to see. Why some feel the need to jump all over that I'll never understand. You haven't heard me once state anything against how current provari users vape style is stupid, etc etc......can the same be said in transverse in this thread?

Should this device not meet my needs, I won't get one, that part is simple. But I will NOT stop stating what I would like to see, simply because it bothers some small minded people who can't see beyond their own preference.

I'll admit to the fact that I don't recall if any of your current arguments included indications such as, "Unless ProVape does {X}, they're missing the boat."

Those are the statements that tend to set folks off. My first exposure to you was when you were in a different feud (same topic, different opponent). But I've come to know you since then, and I've come to like you.

I believe that if you keep it strictly personal ("I'd really like to see {X}..."), you wouldn't see anyone jump your stuff. And I'm not saying that you DID (make economic references to the viability of ProVape in the long run), but if you did, that would explain much.

Again, being totally honest here, I don't recall all of what was said.

Radius. Long may it wave. :)

What's to stop it from being both? I've never used a mod that vapes great at high power but crappy at low power, or vise versa......they pretty much vape the same across the spectrum.

So couldn't they make a.mod that both types of vapers could be excited about?

This is part of the problem, as I see it..........the belief that companies are ignoring low wattage vapers. That's BS.......look at how many mods will now buck all the way down to 1 watt.........who is that for, if not low power vapers? Again....it comes off as wanting to keep provari for low wattage vapers ONLY. When most of the higher power devices now cater to both.

I bought an IPV mini 2 due to the form factor (one of the original 60w). When I first attempted to vape at my normal 12w, the vape was extremely hot. I dialed it down to the lowest setting of 7w and found no difference. Checked it with a multimeter and found there was no step down. When I contacted the dealer, they were convinced it was defective and after testing it themselves, gave me a replacement (which was the newer 70w models). It too had the same problem. I ended up giving it away because it didn't fit my style of vaping.

Does anyone buy their juice or accessories?

Ive been a Provari fan for a long, long time but lets be honest here their juice and accessories are way overpriced.

They probably do get some sales from people who prefer one stop shopping but Ive never heard anyone rave about their juices......or their prices on accessories either for that matter.

When I bought my first Provari, someone recommended that I get my batteries and charger from RTD vapor and my juice from anywhere else.
The nic in ProVape's juice is extracted from American Grown tobacco, so yeah, it's worth it. I like six of their flavors. Plus, for me, it's all about customer service if there is a problem. That's why over the years, I've whittled my juice down to two vendors, ProVape and Johnson Creek.

Indeed...I could have saved you the trouble ;)
The ipv mini didn't truly buck voltage, the lowest it would go was 3.8 if I recall correctly. That being said..it vaped at the same quality at 3.8 as it did at higher voltages, which was my basic point. Most of the mods coming out now do buck as well as boost, because that was a big complaint. Mods like that truly weren't for tootle puffers, only suitable for the then fairly new sub ohm tanks etc....the ones coming out now fit a far wider range of vapers, since lower wattages are also obtainable.

It's in the bucking that the ProVari won it for me. Accurate smooth power at lower levels makes my flavor better and throat happier. I expect ProVape to maintain that capability in all their mods, so the Radius is something I look forward to.

I do wish they would offer a single button version though. A Nostalgia edition.

Vaping ProVape Watermelon, at the moment, running 3.3v with a 2.0ohm coil, in a Kabuki P3.

Delicious.

ProVape Ken's Tobacco is my fav rye-type vape.

Yummy.
Yeah, they have some pretty good tobacco flavors. On queue is, "Havana Gold Tobacco." Tastes like pepper steak tobacco. "Whitehorse Tobacco" got a street shout out from PBusardo. White Grape taste just like your vaping, well, white grapes. I love their Snicker Doodle.

For those of you who missed it, they had a 25% off juice sale that ended yesterday. Prices like that make it really worth it.

But IIRC, the IPV Mini V2 was a $50 mod. The SX Mini on the other hand, which was the same form factor, did true buck and boost, and can deliver between 5-60w accurately out of the box, and by using the extension tube for a second battery, could do 120w. There was also a firmware released later on that would extend those upper limits to 75/150w.

Like you are, though, I do hope the Radius is something that will fit my Vape style. Granted it sounds like you and I Vape at about the same range, I don't feel like that range is extreme by any means-- and is pretty far removed from being a cloud chaser. In fact, I don't feel like I'm getting a huge difference in vapor volume or heat at that range as I would get with a kayfun at 20w...I just get the option of a looser draw, which is a necessity for me.

Is it organic/GMO-free tobacco? The idea of vaping Roundup doesn't really appeal to me at all.

They make great e-liquid. Very clean and flavorful. I love Pink...

I want to take a moment and look at the opposite side of Zen's automobile analogy.

Let us say you're a huge Toyota fan, and have been for over 20 years. You never even consider any other make of car, simply because you love yours so much. When you hear they're coming out with a new model, do you really sit there and say "Wow, awesome, but it better not go any faster than 60 mph, if people want to go faster than 60 they can buy a Ferrari, leave my Toyota alone?" No, of course you don't. You either don't buy that model, or just don't drive it over 60, even if it can go 125.

Nobody's going to put a gun to your head and make you drive faster than you're comfortable with, simply because your car is capable of going that fast. And nobody's going to put a gun to your head and make you vape at higher wattage than you're comfortable with, simply because your mod is capable of delivering higher watts.

Very fair point. I can only speak for myself though when I say, I'm fine with whatever ProVape decides is acceptable to them. Having the good fortune to be an 8-12 watt vaper, it's all irrelevant to me anyway. I also stopped buying ONLY ProVape when other solid options began hitting the market with regularity.

So I don't THINK anyone was saying they wouldn't buy a higher wattage model, but instead, simply that it's not a necessity for them. Some folks are indicating total disgust at the fact that they're not offering very-high-powered options, which I think is kind of silly.

Nobody is putting a gun to our heads and making us buy anything either (except medical insurance).

Unless I totally misread your post. In which case, never mind.

There were a few responses to the effect of "if it goes over 30 (or 50, or whatever arbitrary number) I'm out," but I'd have to spend hours combing back through the other 63 pages to find them.

Thanks.

In that case, I'll join you in confusion.

As someone, somewhere once said... "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?"
