Guys and Gals........I got a PM from HB in the middle of the night. Very Sad News. His father didn't make it.

I don't know his father, but I do know HB and I know how much he loved his dad, so I know this has to be really hard for him and his family.

I'm sure everyone will include him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.........

So sorry to hear this. Was wishing for things to go the other way.

oh yes, that happens to everybody :D prolly because of the sheer goodness in flavor you experience ;):D
Yes, no question that for the first time since I got big boy toys, I'm having to bring a bottle of juice with me to work. 3ml doesn't last more than 7 or 8 hours, but it's a small price to pay for such terrific vaping joy!

Yes, you should have pushed me at a Kabuki looooong ago! I'm beyond loving this thing! But I know why you wouldn't have poked me. I had become a Kayfun Snob, and I'm sure you wouldn't have thought I'd ever go back to pre-built coils. And I likely wouldn't have. But then the Kabuki takes a BVC to a level I've never experienced. As good [IMHO] as a Kayfun [maybe better - certainly less fuss]!
My thoughts exactly.

But you've also got to consider other factors. It'll have your build & materials quality, you can make it have larger channels for higher wattage/higher vg juice. Kayfuns are out of date due to it being near useless over 15w or anything higher than 50vg due to its microscopic juice channel size and an airflow similar to sucking through a coffee stirrer.

Not to mention it'll have your air flow engineering, a P3 connection, and the Zen branding which also assumes flawless looks.

Believe me, it WILL sell. There are plenty of people who never use sub-ohm tank/pre-built coil heads like me.
Kayfuns might never be "out of date"

There IS truth to what you say but....

I was happy with my Kayfuns and had no issues there. It took 3 visits to The Vape Shop and them telling me I should at least try the Kabuki before I actually did. All my Kayfuns are now boxed up and I have a herd of Kabuki's in service. Sometimes, change is good...

But you didn't change for the sake of change... you had the opportunity to try the thing before buying it. You were able to determine that for your purposes it would be an actual improvement and not a gamble.

But you've also got to consider other factors. It'll have your build & materials quality, you can make it have larger channels for higher wattage/higher vg juice. There was also a time when plenty of people never vaped. This industry is a revolution that busted the status quot wide open.

And I'm absolutely sure it would sell if I made it. It would also be a step backwards in my goal to obsolete rebuilding in the mainstream vaping industry. At the end of the day, a new product will either be in keeping with, or working against my goals as a product designer.

My over-arching goal is to make combustible tobacco obsolete... It may not happen in my lifetime, and in all honesty I cannot do it alone, not by a long shot. MANY designers and product developers need to get on the same page. In order to do that vaping has to become easier and more mainstream. For vaping to become more mainstream the products have to be easier to use so more people will let go of combustion and pick up vaping.

I took on the challenge of trying to make a device that uses a drop-in coil that could challenge the rebuildable tanks on the market, and every day I get messages from people that say they have left their rebuildables in the desk drawer in favor of the flavor and convenience of the Kabuki. Mission accomplished. But that is only step one in a laundry list of things that need to be done to accomplish my goals.

My next move is to take that concept and make it even better, and even easier to use... so even more people can experience it. Each step will take me further and further away from rebuildables, not heading back. One day there will be a generation of vapers that start out on the kabuki or something similar, or even better... and rebuilding will be just a faint memory of what "the old guard" used to do.

So yeah, If I introduced a rebuildable at this stage, it would sell. I actually have a bigger agenda than selling a bunch of tanks. My goal is to keep advancing so a whole lot more lives can be saved.

I think Sir Rod is like me. Wait till a lot of people come back with absolute positive reviews before jumping on the bandwagon. ;)

True, true. And I'm glad he's not foolish enough to listen to...

Thank you, Groucho Marx.

Can you imagine (I can) the day when there's a system like the Kabuki, that all you EVER have to do is add juice. It would have a coil that you rinse out occasionally, but never replace. Oh that day, if it's brought to us by Zen, would be a magical day. Yes it would!

3 mls? The flavor on the Kabuki is so amazing that I'm blowing through a tank in about 2 1/2 hours! (And I'm not complaining. Not at all. Not even a little bit! :))

Radius out for delivery. Woot!

One other thing... I never expected people with KayFuns or rebuildables to let go of them... that wasn't my actual goal... I was hoping that people that had an aversion to rebuilding would use the Kabuki, and they in turn would introduce the tank to others with the same aversion. This would lead to newer vapers being able to have a higher quality vaping experience which would keep many of them from even heading down the rebuildable rabbit-hole.

And on a small scale, that is happening.

It doesn't concern me, nor bother me in the least that your baby may replace my Kayfun's. All I've ever wanted was a hugely satisfying vape, one that is fuss free and one that keeps me off stinkies. A Kabuki on a Radius (or for that matter P3) could be just that system........for me.

Different strokes for different folks. I get it and respect it. Always will and always have.

- The build in a KFL+ is everything. Period. Requires some trial and error. But once I hit my sweet spot, a decadent flavor chasing machine. And yes, the authentic is still in stock. :) IF the FDA obliterates the sale of toppers into the dust and or innovation stops, I have enough of them to last me a very very very long time and Kanthal and KGD should/hope always be available. Call me a "hedge" if you wish.

- Quick summary of my preliminary cell test #2 using a new LG HG2 in my Radius. About 15 hours life BUT perhaps 90% of this time was spent at 13 watts and the rest with my Crown flavor machine juice sucking piglet at 30 watts. Roughly 6 ML consumed but that's a ballpark so take it with a grain of salt. When a single horizontal bar was left in the icon the screen went black (no display) for 8 pulls. Then after a short rest the little devil recovered/adjusted and the screen display worked again. I kept asking my self when is this puppy going to flash the buttons red but it finally did. The reading on my XTAR charger was 3.10. I normally never run a cell to depletion since this shortens the cell life. I did notice the R felt warm as the cell struggled to provide power just before it was depleted and stopped providing a vape.

I'm not a flashlight geek but I would love to see some kind of "bench test" using scope like hardware to measure how long the cell life is for the Sammy 25R compared to the LG HG2 in a vaping environment.

Zen, please do not take what I am saying as a mark against you or the device. It isn't. I am just giving one person's findings for my world. :)

If this had come out when I was starting out with the Vivi Novas.... Man this BLOWS that device to all hell and back. Hands Down!

I would not hesitate to recommend the Kabuki to Anyone starting out. The ease of use is PERFECT. I just wish it had been available way baack when.
