Is Provape still designing around one specific battery? If so, they really need to stop doing that. Battery tech is continuously evolving and there are better batteries than the Samsung 25R.

They INCLUDE a Samsugn 25R, Lem, but I wouldn't necessarily say they "designed around it". Being that it's a replaceable battery mod, well...

(say no more?) ;)

The LG HG2 comes to mind. Another reason is that Provape cannot guarantee the battery they design the PV around won't go out of production. It's just silly to do it this way.
I'm sure that they haven't Lem.

This, quite frankly, is the one that I'd drop in there too.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate the 25R (which I also have on hand). Both are excellent batteries. And if I buy a Radius, the included battery will have absolutely zero impact on my (just "MY") personal decision to do so.

I been at this Hotel for 30 days now,
And I went to pay my bill and they realized they were accidentally over charging me $119 a week
So I not only got this week for free but I still got a $50 credit on my next week's bill

Maybe it's a sign from the Vape God's to buy another Radius

For the record, I wouldn't worry about the potential battery meter weirdness at all. Sounds like just a little software confusion. Software patches can be applied at home by us.

Think of this current time as comparable to the p3 "beta" period. But because of the USB updates we can apply ourselves :)

So there's still a chance for Provape to make the Menu say "Provape Fringe Edition ProVari" at Start up :?:

Speaking of batteries, did @Zen~ ever post the results of his battery tests? I'm dying to know the performance of the new AW 18650s, especially vs. the 25R that comes with the Radius.
My current test is seeing my Hg2 getting quite a bit more life than the 25r that came with it. I remember zen having different results so mine may be random luck. lol.

I'm having zero problems with my radius but this thinking is terrible. You buy a Provape product you're paying for precision, safety, and durability. 200 bucks for a 40 watt device should be beta free.

I don't think Zen said anything either way yet. I think he was expecting the 25r to do better, but I suspect it's the opposite since he said he's trying to get a handle on things before he says his results. (It's just a feeling I'm having, in my opinion)

OK - wrong thinking from my end... And I edited my post. But point is all products could have a bug sneak in here/there - esp after launch. Even everyone's coveted iPhones, or apps, computers, etc. Updates are a good thing - not just for fixes to potential bugs (which there may not be any anyway).

I'm starting to speak out of turn here on things that I don't know enough about... Lol. I know nothing really - for the record. I'm just reminding that we can get updates :)

This would be true in a perfect world. I think it's unrealistic to expect 0 faults or problems with any product - old or new. However, I expect the fault rate from a ProVape product would be very low and that any problem would be addressed by ProVape in a timely fashion. That's one of the reasons why I keep buying them - over 2 years, minis, P3 and now Radius - all with no problem.

Why is what I'm saying funny to you? I'm genuinely curious. People should be free to use whatever quality battery they want. I don't need Provape to tell me otherwise.

What I find funny is ... the aerospace engineers at ProVape saying ... yeah, we designed it around Sammy ... we didn't think to check if there was something else :0

Well, they didn't think to check if there was something else with the 2 and 2.5 did they? They designed those to only accept AW IMR batteries.
