I charge at 0.25A. I can't draw down my battery quicker than it can charge even at this low amperage. I always believed the slower the charge the better. Safest and easiest on the battery. So why charge it any higher when I can't out-vape it anyway?

I usually charge at 250mA also. Yes, slower is better.

I don't think ANY of us NEED any new vape gear, but we all know how that goes... Just sayin', to limit a gear purchase because you don't have Windows at home, for the occasional firmware update, when the P3 couldn't be updated at home, seems a bit silly to me, but to each their own - we all have our requirements, and perhaps some of mine for other products might be silly to some people as well.

it does boil down to each their own ... I just spent the cost of a Radius to convert 4 old Provari black minis to the P3 top cap.

These are my daily vapes ... I only vape at 7.5 watts.

My first Radius may come from the classies here on ECF next year, after all the PC updates are done

I'm guessing there's more to this story. Even an 18350 should handle a 0.5-ohm coil, unless it was some sub-par fake. 0.5-ohms at 4.2V is 8.4A, and that's pulsed not continuous. The previous post about the positive pin being flush with the 510 is most likely what happened, assuming they were using it with a hybrid adapter (really dangerous if you're not very experienced with mech mods). Nobody ever thinks about the positive pin moving every time you change the battery in a hybrid mech mod. Definitely not for beginners.
Great point. I was thinking it was a 0.2 ohm coil.

What I was thinking (and even that's not likely to cause a vent immediately). You guys are likely right about the mech:

My very first mod was the 40W iStick with a Sense Herakles sub-ohm tank (.5 ohm coils). After doing some research, I picked up a ProVari 2.5 and a Nautilus tank. Since then, the sub-ohm setup took a back seat. A couple of weeks ago, I got a Russian 91% tank and built my first 1.8 ohm coil. So far, this is my idea of the perfect setup. The flavor and throat hit are exactly what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, sub-ohm has its place in my life, but I definitely prefer ProVape's idea of vaping. Clouds are useless without the flavor and throat hit.

Well said!!

The safety with Provape devices is a huge plus for me. Charge time of an extra 10 mins or even if was an hour or more over another system makes zero difference to me.

I cannot possibly imagine enjoying vaping on a device that has less stringent safety protocols.

So we'll said they I went downstairs and was about to rebuild my Russian 91, but then remembered it's not p3 threaded and remembered the bottom filling, so I just said eff it - haha. I'm digging the p3 threads right now.

Did notice that the finish on the Russian matches the finish on the Radius quite nicely.

Now, you've touched on a combo that is VERY near and dear to a lot of hearts, here on the ECF...
A Provari and Kayfun/Russian is hands down one of the most potent vaping setups available. Pretty much any combo of any version/generation of each will be right.

Now, with this setup, you get new territory. With that territory, comes lots of "advice" and build tips from people. Be ready to take that info with a grain of salt.

That being said, I've got a build you may be interested in...
After years of playing with these Kayfun/Russian devices, I've found my nirvana and I'd like to share.
I use 28g Kanthal, and I wrap it around a #6-32 machine screw (I got the 2" long ones so there's plenty to grab onto). I wrap it 5.5 times, starting with the wire on the "away" side of the screw.
This yields me a 1.1-1.3 ohm coil, and the diameter allows for great wicking. Once it's installed on the deck, I position it about 1mm above the airflow.
I fire these coils at 10 watts on my P3, or 3.4-3.6 volts on my 2.5 models.
Also, if you're interested, I've use the following article to get my Kayfuns to sit flush on my 2.5's, with the Tatroe beauty rings I bought back in the day from Cigtechs. It apparently works with the SM rings too.
Here's the article:

I have two Russians, both in polished silver. I don't mind the bottom fill so much; I fill it up in the morning and it usually lasts all day. I always carry the filled Nautilus with me, just in case.

With regards to the P3, I thought it came with a 510 adaptor?

I'd like to take a moment to say something to the whole group.

One week ago, I experienced another life changing moment. My dad passed away.
His passing was sudden, and hopefully peaceful.
During the last two weeks, so many of you have taken even just one minute to say something kind to me, regarding news of the poor luck that had befallen my family.
So many of you shared your thoughts and prayers, and positive vibes. I wanted to thank you all, but with such a large list of people, I couldn't possibly thank each one of you individually.
This is my thank you.
I can't tell you what it means to have a whole group of total strangers (yet not so strange) even take the time to send a brief message, and/or give one real world moment or thought to myself and my family.
So thank you again.
With everything that has occurred in the last two weeks, including USMCotaku's gift, I've gotta say this again: I'm very proud to be a part of this group.

It sure does come with a 510 adapter. So does the Radius. However, with more and more atomizers having a P3 threaded option, it's becoming the new main means of connection for many P3/Radius owners.
I love using mine when applicable. I've only got a Kabuki and a KF4, but will be soon adding a Calix, and hopefully a secret project I'm working on.

I am absolutely in love with this setup and will definitely attempt the build you suggested this weekend. I'm planning on picking up a KF4 sometime down the line (the Radius ate up a lot of my vaping budget!). I've also noticed a lot of people praising the Kabuki tank. I'm curious to try that one out as well. Time to start putting together my Christmas list!

Watch out Stan!!! You've got an extension ring on the bottom of your P3!

Hahaha what I mean to say is, with the build I use (described above), I get at least a whole day from my 18350's, at 10 watts.

Good point. It's odd that for longer attys I like the P3 to match it in weight/length or something. Like with the Kabuki I feel content in mini mode, and I agree - I can get a while day from an 18350 on the Kabuki! And I gotta try that build of yours. That requires getting a machine screw though! And ripping the existing coil back off... Haha.

I can see your point about the balance.

As far as the build, I picked up my machine screws at Home Depot in a $1.49 pack of 3...easy-peasy!
