I'm not sure that's entirely true, if at all. Reviewers post what they feel is important to mention. It is the reviewers responsibility to decide what they wish to say about how the device works for them. They are voicing THEIR opinions...

The consumer has the responsibility to decide which reviewer's style of vaping most closely matches the consumers specific needs. As an example, I wouldn't care too much about the opinions of Rip Trippers when reviewing a Radius. He has demonstrated that he vapes in an entirely different way than I do, so his input has less value to me than others, such as perhaps, VapeMiser... he's more inclined to vape like I do.

The consumer has to decide what's right for them. And no matter what a reviewer says about being unbiased, realize that there will ALWAYS be the bias of personal preference. I have not watched twisted review, I gather it was a lot of "behind the times" and "too little too late" and "needs Temp Control to be relevant", etc.... That is EXACTLY what I would expect to hear from him! There's probably a tidbit about value in their as well.

Well, as I see it, he has the right to that opinion, just as I have the right to feel that a comment about too little too late is both unenlightened and not in anyway relevant to me. I have positively no use for temp control, and I would never trade more features for lower reliability. My opinions... my choice to feel that way. And it's OK if he feels it's too expensive for what it is. It's my money to spend in any way I see fit. Even if twisted feels it's a bad value.

I think cheap imported mods for 1/5th the price are less of a value. If I couldn't afford a Radius, I'd find something else that I can afford, and it probably wouldn't be an Asian import. I'd find a used or lower price mod of good quality, or save my pennies and dimes until I could afford what I wanted.

I'll eventually watch Twisted's video... I've seen others. He has an opinion. he has a right to that opinion.... He has a right to voice that opinion.

And I have the right to ignore him if I disagree.

What a reviewer says about a device reveals more about the REVIEWER than it does about the DEVICE. Perspective matters.

I think a lot of the annoyance is that Twisted actually did say good things about the Radius, but his way of speaking is so disorganized those comments got lost. Rambling and swearing are his style, but he seems like a nice guy.

Different reviewers have different styles. I prefer people who focus on the product, regardless of whether they would buy it or not, and who read the manual prior to filming. That's why I don't watch some of them. While watching a video it becomes obvious pretty fast when a person isn't providing useful information and I move on. It's annoying when I'm really interested in a new product and don't learn anything from a video, but more will be posted - good and bad. I wish Mark Todd would come back.

Still, I give Twisted points for using the word ProVarinati. We Are Legion.

Pretty sure I saw him put some new reviews up within the last couple of weeks.

Did he go off wandering? His videos come at a stable pace.

R

Awhile ago he said he was taking some time off. Is he back making videos again?

Edit: I've read more posts on topic and it appears he is back, Oh lovely! I enjoy watching his videos even if I'm not too interested in the tank or mod, I hope he does one for Radius.

Yeah, I remember him saying that. He was back a week later.

Thank you for the clarity. When someone says they will taking a break from something, instead of saying a few days or a week off, I tend to think it will be longer. I hope he's reviewed something I'm interested in. :)

Based on a couple of posts in this thread, it seems that the order-shipping timeframe is just about two weeks. My Radius will be arriving at just about the same time as a new custom-made guitar. I guess Christmas has been moved to November this year!

So i think i am missing something. People are upset that a 40w device that they would not buy because it is 40w to start with does not have temp control? is this correct? I also dont get the temp control thing. What i understand is that temp control keeps you from getting dry hits? Can you not accomplish no dry hits by monitoring the amount of liquid you have in your tank? or dripper? Am i missing something? I have an rdna 40 and i only got it cause i could not find another rdna 30. it was a good price and until the radius came out was the size i was looking for. I get that i will have to spend 200 on a mod that is made of "plastic" i also get that provape has spent many hours developing a device that is safe. A device that just maybe the FDA will see and go " look this company cares about the safety of the people they are selling to" They dont make a product then when flaws are found turn around and make another one so i end up buying the new one because the first one does not work right. They fix the flaws before it goes out and if there is something that comes up they address it quickly and smoothly. i am on tons of fb pages and all day every day i see posts about this does not work and how do i fix this on a mod that came from china. I see other people with american made mods that the makers says well send it back i will try and fix it and oh ya i am going to charge you for the fix even thought you just got it yesterday. or better yet "i will try and fix it but there is not promise" these american made devices are even more than anything that provape makes. yes they are pretty and wood and all shiny and yada yada. but i dont have the money to buy something that will only fail me in a matter of days or months. so what if the radius only goes up to 40 and has not tc? I just need something that works. So maybe i am a fan boy of provape, or maybe i just know the value of a good product. I think i am the latter. So for all you idiots that come in here and bash provape, why dont yall just go back to the 200w devices you like keep spending your money, trading mods around cause "it just is not working for you" and leave those of us in this group alone. Everything has its place and this is not the place for all your trash talk. Leave that mess at the door or on FB where it belongs.

I wouldn't bother Zen ... It really just comes across as a ProVape hate video, splashed with some Provari envy because he can't afford one.

However, he does chuck up some very impressive clouds with the Radius :)

It just seemed like a pointless "review" as he stated himself that it wasn't geared towards his current vaping needs. I just don't understand any point at all in the video other than to bash Provape. Might as well have Rip Trippers review the Kabuki while were at it. I have one and absolutely love it but to him it would just be a $90 joke.
Don't knock Rip too much. He may focus a lot on the hobby side of vaping with all the fancy builds but he's a tootle puffer too. He still uses egos and protanks for Petes sake. When it comes to devices he tends to focus on the device and what style of vaping it fits. What I like about Rip is he's flavor first, clouds 2nd like I am but does like to chuck clouds too.

Watch his review of the vertex v2. It's a well done review and actually why I tried one.

Can't afford one. That's rich! (Get it?) I could have bought about 20 of them for the price I just put into performance mods on AMG. lol
