I'm not sure that's entirely true, if at all. Reviewers post what they feel is important to mention. It is the reviewers responsibility to decide what they wish to say about how the device works for them. They are voicing THEIR opinions...
The consumer has the responsibility to decide which reviewer's style of vaping most closely matches the consumers specific needs. As an example, I wouldn't care too much about the opinions of Rip Trippers when reviewing a Radius. He has demonstrated that he vapes in an entirely different way than I do, so his input has less value to me than others, such as perhaps, VapeMiser... he's more inclined to vape like I do.
The consumer has to decide what's right for them. And no matter what a reviewer says about being unbiased, realize that there will ALWAYS be the bias of personal preference. I have not watched twisted review, I gather it was a lot of "behind the times" and "too little too late" and "needs Temp Control to be relevant", etc.... That is EXACTLY what I would expect to hear from him! There's probably a tidbit about value in their as well.
Well, as I see it, he has the right to that opinion, just as I have the right to feel that a comment about too little too late is both unenlightened and not in anyway relevant to me. I have positively no use for temp control, and I would never trade more features for lower reliability. My opinions... my choice to feel that way. And it's OK if he feels it's too expensive for what it is. It's my money to spend in any way I see fit. Even if twisted feels it's a bad value.
I think cheap imported mods for 1/5th the price are less of a value. If I couldn't afford a Radius, I'd find something else that I can afford, and it probably wouldn't be an Asian import. I'd find a used or lower price mod of good quality, or save my pennies and dimes until I could afford what I wanted.
I'll eventually watch Twisted's video... I've seen others. He has an opinion. he has a right to that opinion.... He has a right to voice that opinion.
And I have the right to ignore him if I disagree.
What a reviewer says about a device reveals more about the REVIEWER than it does about the DEVICE. Perspective matters.
I think a lot of the annoyance is that Twisted actually did say good things about the Radius, but his way of speaking is so disorganized those comments got lost. Rambling and swearing are his style, but he seems like a nice guy.
