Thanks. I usually take my kool-aid in the form of Poseidon's Punch from Charlie Noble

I've been seriously considering adding a Kayfun V4 to my arsenal of tanks, but have a very hard time justifying the cost. A few days ago, a brand new one went up on ebay for $130. The box has a broken svoemesto seal, but the seller states that it's a brand new, authentic item. Today, the seller dropped the price to $110. I am very tempted to pull the trigger, but, since the box is open, I don't want to risk being taken for a ride. What's to stop the seller (zero feedbacks, by the way - joined eBay 10 days ago) from taking out the authentic tank and replacing it with a clone? Other than a sealed box, is there a way to verify authenticity?

He actually has another KF4 listed for $99, supposedly used for 3 days.

Personally, unless he had amazing seller/buyer feedback, I wouldn't do it. Buyer beware is sometimes the best quote for the Bay........

Svoemesto has a new product coming out very soon. No one knows what it is. Might want to wait for that one. This ebay one smells fishy to me.

As appealing as the price seems, I'm leaning toward exercising the caveat emptor principle. I once bought a fake Nautilus tank on eBay from a reputable seller (listed as authentic) and quickly got my money back. With the KF4, it may be a bit more difficult to verify authenticity.

Declining this offer leaves you no worse off than you are today. And I suspect today you are happily vaping with something.

I wouldn't care what he was selling. I've been the victim of buying from someone who just joined with 0 feedback.
Also you mentioned the box is opened. How many more signs or red flags do you need?

Who knows, he may turn out to be a decent seller but I'd let someone else spend their money to find out..... Wouldn't be me!

Well stated. Happily vaping is an understatement, as my daily driver is a Radius/Kabuki P3 combo.

I'm definitely letting someone else find out! I've been using eBay for many years and had only a couple of negative experiences. Then again, I haven't been using it nearly as much as I once did and I've heard a lot of horror stories, specifically when it comes to frequently faked items, such as clothes and vape gear.

I first saw a Kayfun 4 at a local B&M and he was asking $65. This counterfeit was clearly marked Svoemesto and the box had the same seal my authentics have. The instruction book and parts "poster" were very good. The whole thing "looked" very good. It is difficult to verify authenticity without close inspection. This one came apart hard and had red o-rings. The internal maching was rough.

I bought my Kayfuns from Provape and they are still my favorite atty. They were pricey but worth every penny. Be careful. Watch Busardo's China trip video and you'll see boxes of clone/fakes. Be very careful.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually communicating with a forum member about taking his KF4 off his hands. It's definitely a no-go for eBay.

well usps says the delivery date is monday. I hope it will be sat, but not going to hold my breath on that. I do hope monday cause i will be working from home again and can stalk the delivery so i dont miss it. :hubba:

If they say Monday I would prepare to wait until Wednesday. USPS is definitely running a bit behind due to the holidays. Mine was supposed to be delivered today but it looks like it will not be coming until Friday or Saturday.

My dude!!!

Stayyyyy farrrrr awayyyyy from the eBayyyyy when it comes to vape gear!!!

I read that you've already decided not to go with the eBay buy, but I wanted to reach out to you anyway!

Unless you're buying something like drip tips, or colored plastic tanks for KFLs, etc...
Don't ever buy anything that would require verification of authenticity. Not no never, not no how!!!!
You've gotta think...you paid all this money for a top end APV (advanced personal vaporizer)...why would you disgrace it by topping it with a clown/clone atomizer?
That's -one- of the reasons Zen~ made the Kabuki!!! It made no sense to have a $200+ device with a cheap-o $35 Chinese tank on top! And Chinese doesn't refer to Aspire...it refers to clowns/clones of any other atomizer also!

I've read horror stories of people buying counterfeit coils(!!!) on eBay, which is flat out mindblowing. I can understand cloning tanks, but coils?

The only vape-related item that I bought on eBay (not counting the counterfeit Nautilus, for which I got a refund) was a Mirandus drip tip for my Mirandus RDA. It looks 100% legit and came in the typical Circle of Mod packaging, complete with a wax seal.

I never buy anything on e-bay unless the seller has a good feedback rating (99%+). Do K4s have a serial number etched into the atty itself? that might be a way to verify it...

I also have another order that was shipped on Monday and supposed to arrive today and it hasn't even left the original state I ordered it from lol. Maybe I'm just unlucky...
