Hopefully someone can help me. When I am on the road, I use my Smokeless image Volt 78mm batteries, which are 380mah. I have been using the fluxomizers and now want to try the Phoenix. I have lots of wicking problems with the fluxo.

My question is this, should I get the 2.4-2.6 or the 2.6-2.8? Also, top coil or bottom coil? Since its a smaller battery, I am curious how much will the lower resistance affect the amount of time I get on a charge. The volt cartos are 2.8ohms and I get about 3 hours of vaping on a charge. Will I notice a substantial difference in the vape if I go with the lower resistance or should I stick with the higher ones to keep battery life on a charge?

If it helps, I generally vape either sweet stuff like grape or banana cream pie and mints. I never vape tobaccos or coffees

I think the 2.4-2.6 would be perfect, you might notice a slight decrease in battery life but it won't be much (I could show you the math but that would be boring).

I think the Phoenix bottom coils are great for traveling, they don't leak in your pocket no matter the angle they're at. The top coil, not so much.

Thanks, I was wondering about the leaking.

I know the math of the watts. I figure the 2.4-2.6 runs around 2.5 and the other at 2.7 so it's a difference in .5 watts. I just don't know how that affects battery life.

At home I have a 130mah x2, which is the same as a kgo, so I don't care with that one. That battery lasts me 3days on a charge

Ok I think I got it. a 2.8ohm carto should give me 345 3second puffs or 17.24 minutes of pressing the button.
a 2.5ohm carto should give me 307 3second puffs or 15.36 minutes of pressing the button. (the battery is regulated at 3.7)

So now, the question is, whats the difference in the vape?

This is what I have found since I have been using both the Phoenix top and bottom coils. I like the sweeter flavored juices ie..apple and peach in the bottom coil because of the cooler vape seems to retain the flavor of the fruit. For the tobaco flavors I like the top coil because of the warmer vape. For me I try the juice in both types of cartomizers and let the flavor decide. As it has been said in many posts taste is subjective....experiment and have fun!

Well, I ended up ordering a set of the top coils in the 2.6-2.8 range, a set of the bottom coil ones in 2.4-2.6 and a set of bottom coil in 2.6-2.8.

I figure that it won't hurt to have them and I can see which I like better. Between that order, all of my premise juice and the 700ml of DIY stuff I have, I should be able to go a long time without ordering anything. Unless of course, new stuff comes out. I'm not interested in changing my batteries, but always looking for better delivery systems.

I like sweet, fruity juices, so I have a feeling I'm going to like the bottom coil better. Plus, I'm used to the horizontal bottom coil cartomizers from smokeless image.

Does anyone know if these will crack like the visions. So far, I've been fortunate to not crack a vision, but i have several tpa flavorings that are known to crack. I have used them in the fluxomizers with no cracking

It's a different type of plastic and is very durable. Haven't had any problems with cracking and haven't heard of any either:)

2nd what bigpman said, check out youtube for badkolo's video on how to fill them.

The bottom coils work on air pressure so its vital you fill them properly, upside down. If you need to top them off, you use your syringe to pull out all the juice you can first, then fill your syringe to the right level and then fill it upside down again. On a refill i go real slow as there is still some juice on the wick and i dont want to push it out.

If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask. The GV crew is a pretty helpful bunch.

They are most likely slammed. You will get the fastest response if you post in their thread. I think they monitor that thread more than the ticketing system.

EDIT: We are in the thread....doh!! Try the main thread, but you can always ask us too. I have a ton of knowleadge on the BC, it's my fav all day clearo. I put the top coil aside for now, just didn't want to deal with fiddling...

I didn't know that part about refilling by first removing the juice in there... hopefully that will fix some of the issues i've had of them leaking after 3 refills or so (because I was doing it wrong). Thanks for the tip!

I'm sure that's what it was. I will say that I placed my order at 5:00pm est yesterday and I got an email last night that it's shipped

If I want to refill, before the BC is empty, I simply shake my PV towards the floor, so that all the juice goes to the top of the BC. I then vape my PV, still upside down, to clear out any juice on the wicks. Once this is done, I take the BC off the PV, still keeping it upside down, and begin to refill. I have yet to have any leaks from doing this:)

Higher wattage ( on the lower ohm clearo ) will be a warmer vape

QFT.

If you have an ego-style pv, then the 2.6 range will probably be way on the cooler side of vaping. That .5w makes a difference in temps. The difference may not be as noticeable on a top-coil, though.
Bear in mind I vape the 2.6-2.8 ohm phoenix bottom coils at around 4.8 - 5v. Finally had my first one die after months of abuse (high volt vaping).
