I just got an Ehpro Armor mech. It's not a 100% mech though, IMO. It's a regulated mech I guess. It's got LED's, a side button (which adds wires to the equation), a 10 second cutoff, and 5 clicks to turn it on or off. So there's a circuit board in there.. The LED's change color (green, yellow, and red) depending on the battery voltage, but I don't really think that is necessary. I am happy with this device though, and it'll take a 20 or 21 700 or an 18650. I don't know if a 21700 fits comfortably and a 20700 will rattle just a bit, but I'm glad it came with a 'fitter' for an 18650, as I don't have any 2x700 batteries. Yet, I guess..

In a way I'm thankful that I discovered mechs before we had regulated mods that could vape at higher than 20 watts. I learned all I needed to know to get a good vape and enjoyed the maintenance routine as a labor of love. That part gets even more enjoyable with high end hardware.

Had a brief spinoff to regulated mods before I realized I wasn't really using them at any higher wattages than my mech builds. I've pretty much stayed between 10 and 40 watts since I started vaping. In the ranges I vape at mechs just make more sense to me as I get good battery life on a much simpler, compact, more sturdy and beautiful device that will never really wear out. All personal preference to me but I feel mechs (especially single battery) are better suited to lower power vaping.

Rather than dive into the new rabbit hole of pods I just use a small battery mech with a mtl or rlh tank. Those devices just seem incredibly shoddy and wasteful and a general pain in the .... Plus the market moves so fast there's a new pod system to try every other day it seems. More money wasted on something that doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over the old ego/clearo systems and you are dependent on the manufacturer for everything, including QA. Those systems are why I got into mechs and rebuildables in the first place. Otherwise I'd have probably gone back to smoking.

Beautiful collection, I have a little Sat 500, great little thing. I see you have the Hellfire, similar in looks but hear they are fantastic.

BTW, what is that great looking black mod in the middle in this photo?

Inspired to post by your collection as always [emoji173]️

The hellfire works pretty much the same as a sat with a slightly more complicated firing pin. Other than the added venting holes it works the same and looks as good as a sat. Though I do like the extra 510 caps for the sat for different sized attys.

The black one is a bestia fiera. Wonderful little integrated side fire 21700 mod I like to use for drip testing new juices. I also have the 18650 version but haven't taken it out of the box yet. Full brass, cerakoted mods with no extra parts other than the two tube halves and a battery adjustment/negative contact cap at the bottom.

You guys won't believe what I messed up last night. I was rebuilding lboth of my X1 RDA's. One for my parallel box at 0.15 and the other for my side piece series mod at 0.78 . I set them next to each other grabbed for my ohm checked to heat the builds up and clear any hot spots . Grabbed my side piece and picked up the WRONG RDA ? When I got the fire bar flames came thru the drip tip inhaled (not too much) as I then dropped the mod on floor and chipped the kitchen floor tile. My wife is ...... at me.
