I went looking and found some discussion about Boge cartos and Bloog cartomizers.

Just curious what input you wise Elders might have.
Unfortunately the first pack of boge were defective so Im reluctant.
Volt so 808
the cartos from SI have been great. at the moment I leaning toward if it ain't broke don't fix it, but also want to see what else there might be that works as well. Would a LR carto work on the Volt ? if so any recommendations

Thanks in advance for all the help.

I gotta think your bad Boges were pretty unusual. I've never had a bad one....I just don't use them, or any other carto anymore as I hate the taste of the polyfill.

This is just my opinion. All of my gear is 510, and I have used Boge cartos since i started vaping over a year ago. So does my hubby. I admit I went through a time when I got a few in a row that wouldn't wick well. That was really unusual. In all my time vaping, I have probably had around 10 that wouldn't wick. Keep in mind that we have gone through 100's of cartos, and I, alone, have close to 30 flavors at a time in carto tanks. I am a Boge carto girl all of the way.

I have so much faith in Boge that I placed an order directly from Bogetech for 500 of them. I doubt that I'll ever switch. This being said, I have very little experience with any others, just always been happy with what I have.

I purchased my first e-cig about 15 months ago. I wasn't able to stop smoking immediately. I did cut down on analogs (RYO) at first but I couldn't give them up completely. When a medical professional told me e-cigs were dangerous I went back to analogs full time for a few months.
My new years resolution for 2012 was to stop analogs. So I started using the internet to find some help and to learn about vaping. I also started watching video reviews of e-cigs and accessories such as Grim Green, P. Busardo and others. I also started visiting web sites of many e-cig vendors, and I started buying different e-cigs and liquids. In February of 2012 I had my last analog. I had moved to bigger mods from the first ego I had purchased. I also increased the voltage of my pv's. I found my sweet spot and found e-liquids that pleased me. I went from 24-28 mgs of nicotine to 14-18 mgs as a result of the bigger mods. I remember the last analog cigarette I smoked did not taste good. I did not like the burnt taste. I haven't looked back since. No more cravings for an analog. I spent a lot of dough experimenting but it was well worth it.

I think there is a steep learning curve for e-cigs. Experimenting with different pv's, voltages, e-liquids, cartos, and atomizers worked for me to find my sweet spot. After all that I am happy with a low res carto at 3.7v but I do switch to higher voltages all the time. Vaping has become more of a hobby. I also like to turn friends and family on to vaping so they quit analogs. I do like this forum too.
Everytime I type vaping my spell check changes it to vamping. What's that about.

I wonder if I'm ever going to get over being totally confused! Programming school was a lot easier than this! :p What I'm trying to figure out now is connections and proprietary equipment, etc. I'm loving my simple little Modern Vapor 902, but I have no idea about specs. Sometimes it would be nice to plug one of my batteries into hubby's eluma usb charger so I could charge 2 batteries at once but I'm scared it might ruin my battery. I guess it's a moot point since I've got a pass through on order.

So you got the 2.0 ohms, right? Sorry, I had to go out.

I haven't ordered yet.
waiting to here back.
thanks
Ill go order some now.
where is the best place to buy small quantities of the Boge 808d LR
I found some at My Ecig Supply, The best place to get e-cigarette, e-liquid, e-juice, joye 510, joye ego, joye 510-t, Joye ego-t, cartomizers, electronic cigarettes, and much more! for Sale: $4.95 for 5
and Smoketek Your Price: $8.95

Not knowing about vendors just want to check.
I like the 4.95 price. but I know price is not always the most important part of a supplier.

Thanks

Congrats on letting go of the analogs despite what a doc told you. Wonder why he thought they were dangerous. The eCig journey is interesting and fun and there's loads of people here to bounce questions and ideas off of.
I turned off the spell corrector so vaping just shows up as a word to be corrected. The steep learning curve includes spelling vaping I guess.

the ones at smoke tech show up as Boge when you google but their description is Kr808D-1 / 302D Cartomizer
is that the same thing ?

since My Ecig suppy will take 14 + fdays to get here Ill pay the 4 extra $

Thanks

Elbert you might want to check with someone on the volt forum and see if they will handle LR. I don't think they will and if they do they will put a lot of strain on that little battery. Is your volt an auto? If you are thinking about getting an echo auto the LR below 2.2 ohms won't work. They draw too much current. I'm pretty sure it is the same for the Volt X2 auto. I would stick with the volt cartos if it was me. You said you were real happy with them. I would get a 650 or bigger manual battery if I was going to use LR cartos.

I had just pressed the order button at SI when this one came in.
figured if I was that unsure I would stick with what I know has been good for
as John Twoponies used to say "when in doubt don't"
I did order there larger cartos, they are 55mm instead of 35mm and hold 1.4ml

Still working on the pipe for near future.

I have gotten conflicting opinions on the Echo 1300 batter and the 3ml cartos.
some say good some say not good.

thanks again

I like the hit I get with the regular SI cartos and Volt battery.
If LR drains the battery more them Ill still with the regulars till I get some more batteries. the two I have are good and so far have not found my self with 2 batteries that need charging at the same time.
Well except the other day home alone.

thanks one and all for the input.

Hi Pathfinder - your 'nickname' sure is appropriate to your story, you found a path to vaping inspite of your doctor's advise. My doctor said the exact opposite. He was after me for years to stop smoking. He said nicotine in and of itself is not harmful. He actually said that now that your no smoking, I can tell you there are actually some benefits to nicotine (stress reduction, relaxation, pain relief), that I never tell my smoking patients. I don't want to give them an excuse to continue smoking. Ha! Some of the reason we used to continue smoking that were always poo-poo'ed really were valid. It's just so much better to be getting it from vaping than the 'ugly sticks'.
