tx, when you ordered the 7.99 vivi nova, did you happen to order the deal they offer on Dekang menthol? If so, is the it same as always? I heard Dekang was changing their menthol flavor...that would be a real shame.

Yikes! I'm vaping at 6 volts!!!!

Tonight I decided to try making an oversize 3mm wick for the Vivi Nova. Here's a good, simple pictorial on doing it.

I also tried out some Kanthal A1 34 awg wire. I've never used 34 awg before, I've been doing all my coils with 32 Kanthal. I used less wraps with the 34 as its thinner wire and has a higher Ω rating. But I didn't factor in the fat 3mm size of the coil. The Ω on the coil came out to 5.1Ω's - holy cow bat man! I had to crank up the Provari to 6 volts just to get to my sweet spot of ~7 watts of power. I used 8 pieces of 6 strand bamboo cotton through the coil and there's still room for more. I didn't put the cotton over top yet - but I'm getting tons of vapor with this setup.

So tomorrow I'll rip it apart and use 1/2 the coil size to get down around 2.5-2.8Ω and add the cotton topping.

Thanks for that Mike, never thought about using a screw to make the coil...Genius! (That could have some other possibilities.)

I should get the juice today and yes I ordered the Menthol. I hadn't heard they were changing it. That wouldn't be real smart because lots of people like it. MV always sells out and he buys tons of it.
