Hey Tex, just came back from my neighbors. Her husband is using the T3 and is thrilled with it. Of course 1 tank lasts him at least 2 days. Sheesh, he's practically a non-vaper! She hasn't tried it yet, but she prefers her KR808 and is waiting for a new tank for that, I think it's a Nano? She does the filling of the tanks (clearos) for her hubby and she's liking that she doesn't need a syringe to do it. It is a bottom coil, but I noticed that it does have a wick. I didn't know bottom coils had wicks!

    Not me Janet. LOL

They do have wicks, just with bc's they're tiny and ya don't see em much. I think pretty much everything has to have a wick or mesh doesn't it? Maybe not, but I think most every coil has some sort of tiny wick at least. (gonna feel like a idiot if you were just joshin bout that) lol

No, you're not an idiot. I didn't think the Phoenix had wicks, at least not the silica ones. I just thought being a bottom coil it didn't need a wick to get the juice to the coil and never looked into it. I'll have to check on it.

Deb no question is a stupid question. :)

well mostly that's true, but I have asked some dumb ones in my life! If that were really true.......Bill Engvall wouldn't have made so many folks laugh with his .....here's your sign jokes! lol

Janet they just barely stick out the sides on the ce3's at the bottom. Don't know if they're the silica or not but I think they are. They aren't big long wicks, just tiny lil things.

OK, I've checked around and can't find anything about a wick in a bottom coil. I looked at mine and don't see a wick, but Mike says there could be one inside that the coil is wrapped around. That makes sense, so I guess what I should have said was there was a visible wick in the T3. It looked just like a top coil that's put in upside down. My Phoenix's just have 2 holes in the post which is why I didn't think they had wicks. Since it's a bottom coil it would always be bathed in juice so I thought because of that and since I couldn't see a wick meant that they didn't have one. I haven't seen anything about anybody rebuilding bottom coils. Tx is using them so maybe he knows more than me about them. Interesting topic. I should have tried to take my 3 ml Phoenix apart to see how it worked.

The only time I see the wick in the ce3 is right after I dry burn it. When its dirty if you look at those holes (from the outside), it just looks dark, but after dryburning, you'll see some white there. It's a tiny bit of wick. I only see it when I look at it from the outside. Not sure about the T3 since I don't have one of those yet. During the raven fiasco, one person suggested taking an ice pick or something, and digging a bit of wick out of the hole, I tried that but it mostly just shredded. You couldn't see that wick at all but it was in there. I did get some of it out, but it just fell apart when I tried that.

i'm gonna get off here for a bit. Hope y'all have a great night!!

Thanks for the info Deb. I did get 2 Ravens, but only tried one of them and had the problems everyone else did so I didn't even open the 2nd one. At first glance though I didn't see a wick, but wasn't looking for one. My Phoenix's didn't seem to have them. I just "assumed" there wasn't a wick so wasn't looking for one. When I have a little time I'm going to take a very good look at the Raven I haven't used and see what I can see. I'll probably learn something! You'd think someone would have tried to rebuild one, but I haven't found anything posted for someone trying to do that yet. Even Mike builds coils for the top coils, why haven't I found someone who has tried to rebuild a bottom coil? Maybe I just didn't look in the right place?

Stay tuned - I'll let you know how this wick/coil setup works in a VvN. Right now all my VvN's are vaping fine and I'm not ready to tear one down that doesn't need rebuilding. But I'm curious how this will work out. It's a 5mm x 18mm piece of SS mesh w/ a 32g Kanthal coil and a piece of bamboo yarn threaded threw the center. When installed I'll lay another piece of bamboo over top of it.

yw Janet. Yeah on the raven thread I saw a lot of folks talking about modding them trying to get them to work, but not actually rebulding them. I think on the raven it would be really hard, to get to the coil, but probably someone has at some point on a ce3. I don't really pay much attn to those kinds of threads, cuz I'm just so not gonna try that. lol But I imagine there must not be many or any, cuz Mike probably would have run across them.

    That's a purdy wick Mike!

Today I think I'm going to try that Kanger T3 myself before I hand it off to hubby. We have several ego batteries so I just grab one with a fresh charge.

Let us all know what you think. I'm kind of holding off on trying them just cause I haven't been all that thrilled with the T2. I don't like how they go together. By the time I have the wicks stuffed down from the top I have little pieces of wick falling off.
