I have been vaping for 2 years, I know there are a ton of "mod" batteries, I have tried/ bought a couple blah blah. But I really just prefer the regular 510, 280 mah batteries with a regular ol' cartomizer. These cigs get bashed on this forum, but the bigger batteries are just too big and heavy to carry around with you everywhere. I'm glad to see there are other people on this forum who think the same.

What ever keeps you off the stinkies!!!

I just used dawn dish soap, soaped them then rinsed them for a couple of minutes in hot hot water, seemed to work. The rebuildable T2's are very inexpensive but figured what the heck can't hurt to try. congratulations on the quit

I've got 15-20 T2 LR heads that I rotate. The last cleaning was done with boiling tap water followed by a boiling distilled water rinse. I lay them out on a paper towel in a sunny window to dry. They're as good as new. They seem to last about 1.5 days and I vape a lot of menthol 60/40 12mg juice.

My Land Lady is in her 70's and has smoked for many years. She was diagnosed with cancer about 10 years ago and went through over a years worth of treatments. A couple of years ago she received her final checkup and was deemed to be cancer free. Through all of this and until this day she continues to smoke heavily. I have been trying for around 6 months to get her to try electronics instead but she has been very skeptical.

Finally, about 2 weeks ago, I convinced her to try it. I gave her an 808 style kit with an 18mg tobacco flavour and a 12mg menthol. She seems to be using it and says she likes it. According to her, she was smoking 40 cigarettes a day. I know from seeing her and smelling it that she does smoke a lot. Now she says she is down to about 10 per day (yesterday she had 7).

So far so good. I really hope she continues and I will be sure to show her this thread for some motivation.

Oh my Idle, that is so good of you to help your landlady. I hope she does enjoy it and that vaping helps her. This could open a whole new world for her! By-the-way, welcome to our corner of ecf. Anyone here would be more than willing to encourage her or answer questions. She might also enjoy our other thread for Older People where we can chat about more than just vaping. We may be old but we still like to have fun!

Good for you helping your land lady. It's always nice to hear nice stories. Iffy said it all - count the ones that aren't smoked and don't rush or push for a complete stop. Some folks stop when they vape their 1st PV others need a transition period.

hey, radeljack, what kind of soap did you use, i tyred rubbing alcohol ,they got really clean , but wow what a alcohol after taest for about 5 or 6 drags...I would think there would be a soappy teast. now I just clean them with hot water, been kinda going overto.the rebuildables, by the way I'm 68 yr old smoked for 40 + yr quit this 4th of july,

I'd appreciate it if you ever mix a decent DIY van/orange swirl joose to post the recipe!!!

Iffy, if I am able to make a good orange cream joose you'll be the first to get some along with the recipe!! Of course we first have to see if I am able!

Thanks guys. I am going to keep after her (not pressuring but encouraging) and I hope she will be converted. I know she wants to quit because of how often she makes little comments about it and how she acts guilty about it.

Having said that I can tell she is smoking now because I can smell it every time. But I have been home for 6 hours and this is only the second smoke she has had as far as I can tell.

Iffy is right, count the cigs she doesn't smoke. Everyone has their own time and she will come to it if and when she wants. Just be there to give positive support without judgement.

Nah, I smoked for 30+ years that didn't kill me. LOL I am prone to having what seemed to be a good idea at the time, so don't mind me too much hahahahaha

Hey, if it worked that's a good thing! I've just dry burned, rinsed in plain water, poked it with a toothpick and dry burned some more and that worked with my mini vivi nova heads. Maybe I'll get one that's difficult and I'll try the soap.

Well just one comment before I head out of here.

MIKE AND JANET! You two have got to be among the most helpful around this forum. AND you two are among the nicest that I've run across!!!

Now night all.

What a nice thing to say jj! We're just part of a larger group of people who have all done their best to help each other out. I feel like I've gotten a lot more out of being here than I've given.

So the mail lady is safe and all is well. The mini arrived and well....it is bigger than I thought it would be. That being said I am not too upset about that as it will stay home as I had originally planned. The T2's work well with the adaptor. There is no instructions with it so I went to the web site and it is down, I did find the instructions on utube so not a big deal. So as of yet I have no opinion on its function.IMAG0563.jpg

Glad the mail ma'am is safe!! lol Wow, love that photo. It's actually not quite as big as I thought it might be. And I love that color! On the website the purple looks like sort of a dusty plum color, but this looks more like a real purple if my computer is seeing it right. The shadow looks a bit blue, but where the light is hitting it looks like a nice purple. Is it really like that?
