Willie that's a tuff one with what flavors you have. What are you vaping now?

You really don't want to know .. about 10 different bottom of the bottle dregs that got dumped into one bottle that I call "Mongrel Mix" .. :p

It's actually pretty good

Until I begin to sample what I mixed, honestly, I'm still on the fence on this whole DIY bit .. if you remember, my original plan was simply to stash a load of nic solution in prep for any possible FDA whatever .. it was Jewels and a few of you that encouraged me to try DIY .. I'm not throwing the towel in, and I suppose there is a money savings once you reach the break even point ..

I'm also wondering what the FDA has up their sleeve, so I bought the DIY kit and made up a small batch
of coffee flavored juice to get a feel for mixing and see how it would go. All in all, not bad and easier
than I thought it would be.

Come the FDA or a SHTF scenario, I'm ready.

I had one I called odds-n-ends. It was a mixture of some of my original samples. (I needed the bottles) All of them were kinda the same flavors. Coconut, pineapple, pina colata, and who knows what. I couldn't vape it but it was at least 60mgs of juice so couldn't bring myself to dump it. Little sis loves it. One mans trash is another mans treasure kind of thing I guess.

Lay it on me .. I like experimentation and I also could care less if I toss any of these "brews" out .. I've got quite a bit of my nic 6mg mix left to play with and still plenty of flavoring .. I would say I like a medium strength menthol .. I tend to use one liquid over a week and then switch to something else .. but the flavors I listed on my previous post are those that I've kinda settled into over the last few years ..

I don't care for coffees, sweet candy like liquid, pastry types, cookies .. etc ..

Yep, it was not hard to do .. I told a lady friend that I now can see why the liquid sellers on line have sprung up like weeds .. easy, cheap, high profit, high markup ..

You are the King, my friend .. I actually dumped about 50ml of the nic base into my mixing / storage bottle when I finished making the 6 30ml bottles I ended up with last night .. no extra VG or PG .. not very scientific, I know, but I figured it would beef the nic up some ..

I'm using a 1000ml bottle that RTS sent with my 48mg nic solution as my mixing and storage bottle ..

Oh, I'm right there with you U/Willie! I have everything to start with and have made one successful attempt w/Peppermint.

I'm edgy about what the FDA is going to do, so until I get a handle on mixing and feel comfortable with it, I'm simply concentrating on getting enough nic for a very very long time! In the meantime, I'm reading and learning everything I can on DIY!

I went on the DIY section and started a file with what sounded good and others enjoyed. Then went back and looked at flavors I needed the most.

75/25% is correct. NOT 33/66%!! Just tell me to SHUT UP!!

Ha ha. My initial estimate was 66/33 too until I grabbed my calculator. Not to worry, there's enough people on here who will check on us. The EjuiceMeUp calculator is wonderful, but Mike created his own. I tell him what I want to mix and he comes up with the %'s. He's my human DIY calculator!

Don't you worry about your stash Willie. Just play with what you mixed - you're bound to mix up something you'll be happy with and you won't have to depend on suppliers or regulations anymore. You can already see how far your money will go with what you've got - you've probably got enough for 20 years now!

I guess I'm going to keep pestering ..

What about this white vinegar thing .. ??
And ethyl malto .. ??

just a drop .. ?? Wait till the original mix has set for a while .. ??

I'm just a newby at this, but my understanding is that tobacco flavors need to steep to let the flavors develop. You'll have to taste what you've mixed and then add a little of this or that to suit your taste. Just make sure you make a note of what you've added because if you end up with a winner you'll want to know how to duplicate it. Iffy's rule about his lemon juice he adds to fruit flavors is 1 drop to 3 ml of juice. (I think he uses apple cider vinegar to bakery juices.) I wouldn't go higher than that to start. You can always add more if it's not enough. Now that you've mixed your base, just put some in a small bottle, taste what you've got, then add vinegar or EM and taste it, add some and taste it etc. Stop when its pretty good because it's easy to add just a little bit more and go over the edge and have it taste awful. At least that's what's happened to me. Check out Hoosier -

Wow, it sounds like we're doing just about the same thing. I'm using OneNote which I'm finding invaluable.
I'm copying a lot into separate files also.

Janet, you're one lucky woman!

My dh is becoming more and more interested in my success with DIY. He quit smoking over 25 years ago, and I suspect that he will become a real asset with my DIY progress! He's a left brain thinker, and I need that logical and analytical mindset.

Glad you got your boy all tidied up......now you can spend even more vaping money! :)

Microsoft Office OneNote is software that comes with Windows7. It has tabs for Personal Notebook, Work N/B!

Here is a much better explanation than I could offer.
